Prog Snobbery or not, he's definitely thinking outside the box and trying to offer something more than just an album. In days where the market is over saturated, and there's a lot of the same albums rehashed over and over again, a tad little bit of creativity counts. Sure he comes across as a pompous arrogant asshole (we already have a Daniel Gildenlow and a Steven Wilson, dude, you're late) but you have to at least give him credit for trying to do something so that his band stands out in that room full of other 3,000 prog metal bands.

I downloaded this a long time ago, but don't think I ever actually heard it. Today seems like a good day to do that. Thanks Patrick for reminding me of this. I'll post later on whether I like it or not.

See the pompous arrogant routine immediately shouts to me to write off ever offering this project a listen. Its no different than recent conversations had about one member of any act giving his/her whole band a bad wrap because of his/her choice of actions and words.

Same reason i refuse to support Manowar...I strongly dislike their self worshipping b.s. spewing bassist. Just a personal preference though.

Man, despite all that I said before, this guy is so fucking arrogant...

Musically the album is not bad. Production is not the greatest and they need a better singer (in other words, HE out. LOL). I like the concept and I like the mood of the album, just not a fan of his singing for the most part.

And no, I didn't pay the $50 for this special-deluxe-fucking-brilliant-the-holy-grail-forged-in-atlantis-by-naked-girls version. I just downloaded it.

Fake was my first thought, but the more I read, it seemed too over the top to be fake if you know what I mean. The worst part is, if you bought it and it really, truly sucked, then in his mind it would only mean that you didn't "get it."
