MoonGel placement

Being alot of plp recommended it here.....I bought a couple packs of MoonGel for tracking drums.

But, I have no experience with these......

You only put one on per drum? Or two ? What spacing? And where at on the head?

Anyone got any pics of their MoonGel setup ??

It is application dependent, put them where they make that particular drum sound good, or don't

It's that simple

If I use them I usually put them on the bottom of toms to cut some ringing down

Just try, you put it, remove it, put it somewhere else... it's very easy, don't worry and just go... Just don't put it in the middle where the drummer will hit

i find that i don't like using them on the high and mid toms, but one works on the floor tom. I use two on my snare because i don't like a ringy snare. i sometimes use one on the bottom snare head.
