Jeff Loomis - new album (2011)

I just watched an interview w Mr Loomis and he said that he talks to Chris Poland for a guest appearance on his next solo album.. Is that true? That would be so rad!

Just found out about this (Aaron producing the new Loomis feat. Dirk Verbeuren).

This is awesome, looking forward to read/hear/see more about this.

Congrats on this Aaron by the way.

I loved the solo album, but the production could have been a bit better (guitars were amazing, but the rest sounded a bit like a slick preproduction (i think it's not only a production thing but also due to the drums performance and even more the drums part (which are kinda dull IMO and needed to be spiced up a little bit) being played) and lacked the "wow" factor IMO).

Cashmere Shiv FTMFW !!! (i love the leads on that one !!!)

I'll be diligently awaiting any-and-all information related to this project. Video blogs would be incredible. :Spin:

I've seen a video of Loomis giving Emil Werstler respect and a video of Emil Werstler giving Loomis respect. A collaboration between them would be sweeeeet.

Aaron, great job with the new Loomis track! Amazing song and the sound is terrific - wish plains of oblivion sounded like this :). Congrats man

Haven't hardly paid any attention here in the last two years so it took me a few months to notice you awakened this thread, haha. Thanks for the kind words! All I can really say is that I've gotten better at mixing in the last 5 years, and a big part of that includes building my control room (which is featured in the video, all washed out in LED light though instead of the cool dim vibes that don't capture well on film).
