Most recent album that blew you away...

It's definitely late night music, for when your ears are a bit tired. Worth giving a bit of time to though... What a name for the type of music though, fantastic

Bohren are a great band to watch too, I saw them with Isis, Jesu and the Art of Burning Water atthe Mean Fiddler a couple of years ago, they played with all of the lights in the venue off. The only lights were small yellowy orange spots, very faint, one on the bell of the sax, one on the bassists fingers, one on the keyboardists fingers and one inside the kick drum. So calm and relaxing, but in a very metal way, great band

Mactatus-Provenance of Cruelty was great.

edit-too bad the rest of their stuff is pure shit. Trying to be Dimmu Borgir? Ya.

I've been listening to Satyricon's - Now, Diabolical and I find it to be good when im drunk hehe.

I like songs like K.I.N.G and from their album Volcano - Fuel for hatred!

I know its simple and kinda immature but I find it easy to bang your head to and really fun when your driving drunk heh.

You guys know any albums they have or songs that sound anything like king or fuel for hatred?

I am really liking:
Immortal-Damned in Black
Epica-Consign to Oblivion
Necrophagist-Epitaph :notworthy :notworthy :kickass:
Necrophagist-Onset of Putrefaction :notworthy :notworthy: :kickass:

I've been listening to Necrophagist for a long time now, and it's still fucking amazing

and for those who like reggae:
Soldiers of Jah Army (SOJA)- Get Wiser :)

Amon Amarth - The Crusher quite amazing with just three filler tracks. Risen From The Sea (2000), As Long As The Raven Flies, and Annilation Of Hammerfest. The rest just plain blew my mind. HAIL ODIN AND THE FIRE THAT DESTROYED ALL OF MANKIND AND IT'S EVIL!!!

Origin by Borknagar. I hadn't listened to it in ages, but it blows me away every time that I get back into it. :)

The Absence-From your Grave. I listened to it a while ago, but I just thought i should note it kicks the fucking shit out of me. Awesome album.
