Got to thinking today and was trying to figure which band I have seen in the most different places and I thought that it would be interesting to hear what some of yours are. For me it is Iced Earth as follows:

1 - Atlanta (DragonCon), I think this was at the World Congress Center right when they were releasing Days of Purgatory

2 - Cincinnatti (Annie's), touring for Something Wicked

3 - Milwaukee (Metalfest side stage), also for Something Wicked

4- Spirngfield, VA (Jaxx), for Horror Show

5 - Atlanta (ProgPower 9)

I wasn't actually following IE around, just happened to be in the same place at the same time for most of these.

And I have seen Overkill at least 5 times, but all in Atlanta at 3 different spots: The Roxy, Masquerade and The Point.

The most I've seen of any band is Trans-Siberian Orchestra at 6 times but all were in Seattle.

Of the ones that I've seen in multiple locations. Gamma Ray, Helloween, and Lillian Axe have the record of 3:

Helloween/Gamma Ray (both on the same tour)
Osaka, Japan (Namba Hatch)
Tokyo, Japan (Kosei Nenkin Hall)
Seattle, WA (El Corazon)

Lillian Axe:
Gonzales, LA (Lamar Dixon Center)
Baton Rouge, LA (Clicks)
Seattle, WA (Studio Seven)

The Gathering:

New York (Twice)
Virginia
Santiago (Chile)
Helsinki (Finland)

Savatage:

Rio de Janeiro- Brazil - Twice
Sao Paulo- Brazil - Twice
Tampa (a few times)
South Florida - Boynton Beach
Atlanta (WOMD)

CircleIICircle

Tampa (a bunch of times)
Atlanta (A couple of times)
Rio de Janeiro
Sao Paulo
Campinas (Brazil)
Curitiba (Brazil)

And plus a bunch of bands I've seen in multiple cities by chance (didn't travel to see them per se, but ended up seeing them in a festival).... I've seen Manowar and Nightwish in North America, South America and Europe... and I don't even own a Manowar CD.. ahahah

As long as we're talking about touring bands, and not local bands that I've seen at several different local venues:

I-Rock in Detroit (2x)
Harpo's in Detroit
The Metro in Chicago
The Pearl Room in Chicago (Powerfest 2008)

Hee hee, for me that would be Into Eternity. They seemingly open for any band that I happen to like. I think I saw them like three times in a span of two months one year. Granted they are from Canada so it does make sense in a weird way :)

Definitely not the band I've seen the most times, but definitely the band I've seen at the most locations:

Blind Guardian:
- Atlanta, GA (PPIII)
- Los Angeles, CA
- Coburg, Germany (BG Fest)
- Phoenix, AZ
The San Diego show on that first US tour was canceled, or I would have seen them there, as well.

I've seen Danzig at 4 distinct Las Vegas locales, but that's not as impressive.

Amazingly, for all the joking we've done around here about them opening up for every tour, I've managed to avoid seeing Into Eternity more than once (when they opened for Opeth).
And I just checked Agonist's site and it was actually barely over a month for me. I thought Epica had been earlier in the summer for some reason.

9 Sep 2007
Highline Ballroom (w/ Epica) New York, New York
28 Sep 2007
Chance Theater ( w/ Sonata Arctica ) Poughkeepsie, New York
19 Oct 2007
Mark's Place (w/ After Forever) Bedford, New Hampshire

Granted, it's kind of unfair since I was on the Century Media street team and got to see the second two for free because of the band. Pretty much the only reason I saw SA right before PP. I'd have gone to After Forever anyway, though.

Hmmm ... Nick has a better memory than I do, so I had to wait to be able to pick his brain a bit ...

Into Eternity - 9+ (Although they are not my all-time favorite, I still enjoy seeing Into Eternity every time.)
Atlanta, GA (ProgPower V)
Springfield, VA (Jaxx) - lost count after 7
Baltimore, MD (Pier 6)

Queensryche - 6
Baltimore, MD (Pier 6)
Baltimore, MD (Ram's Head Live) - 2
Washington, DC (9:30 Club) - 2
Orlando, FL (House of Blues)

Iron Maiden - 5
Bristow, Va (Nissan Pavillion - Ozzfest)
Camden, NJ/Philly,PA (Tweeter Center)
New York/NJ (Meadowlands)
Columbia, MD (Merriweather) - 2

Dream Theater - 4
Baltimore, MD (Pier 6) - 2
Reading, PA (Gigantour I)
Bristow, Va (Nissan Pavillion)

I've seen several other bands 4 or 5 times, but usually all of those show have been at Jaxx, with maybe one being at ProgPower (bands like Edguy, Kamelot, Evergrey, Epica, etc.)

I've also seen The Independents more than 25 times (Baltimore, Myrtle Beach, Augusta, Orlando, Sarasota, Tampa, etc.). At least 10 times before Nick was their drummer and at least 15 times since then, but since they're not a metal band and are a little more underground (signed on and off over the years) I figured few people would take interest there.
