Most underrated Opeth song

EASILLY the most underrated opeth song by the fans...blackwater Park, that song is a riff ORGY, of the most stoned out sabbathy, fuzzed, grooved out drop D riffs I have ever heard in my life. And I never really hear anyone talk about it much.

Blackwater Park. I remember mentioning this song alot before... it's definately my favourite 'metal' song. I think that Under The Weeping Moon is fairly underrated... since it doesn't get mentioned all that much.

Hell yes, gotta agree with you there. This is my favourite Opeth song by far!

yes, mikael akerfeldt said that once too. many kick-ass riffs in there...

but i'd go with karma too. i wonder why no one mentions it. it's amasterpiece! and very heavy, too. they way it begins...and then the "aaaaaaaaaaaaaa" part comes in -i get goosebumps all over-...amazings riffs there..."you have nothing more to find"..."you have nothing more to lose"...and then the way the song gets heavy again...wow, it is a masterpiece.

I TOTALLY agree with you there...I love Karma, especially that part....
But I'd have to say The Twilight is My Robe....not only is that my favorite Opeth song, it's my favorite song of all time.

Some of the songs listed by you all have not been underrated songs on this board ~ Black Rose Immortal, The Twilight is My Robe, BWP...these songs have been mentioned as being favorites many of times, from what I recall.

Karma is probably the most underrated song, and in my opinion an outstanding track, better than most tracks on Still Life.

The most underrated Opeth song: All Of Them

If they weren't underrated, you'd hear them much more on the radio and such. It's a pity that such talent gets stuck in a "cult following" scenario, while bands like Metallica, Megadeth, etc (all have decent musical ability) get huge accolades, much publicity, and fame and fortune (for whatever that's worth).

Confined to this board, I think almost all songs have been listed as someones favorite, but Karma and The Amen Corner get the least recognition. I'll also add The Leper Affinity to the list.

I'm agree with metalmancpa the talent of Opeth is underrated, there are a few really Opeth fans and others that knew them since BWP but we have to keep in mind that Opeth is not following fame or to be celebrities, they make music because they love it and I really appreciate that.
