most underrated opeth song?

Let's not make this an overrated thread.. things will get stretched out and miserable.

I actually think Eternal Soul Torture is underrated. I love listening to it every now and then and think some of the riffs could have been used on albums.

The Twilight is My Robe, Nectar, Karma, The Funeral Portrait (mainly its solos-- the whole song sets a good stage for them), Wreath (brilliant, brutally effective repetition), Beneath the Mire (1:42 - 4:48... uh, holy shit?), Hex Omega.

Don't know why. Beneath the Mire is my favorite song.

Every element of Opeth in 7 minutes. I don't understand why they don't play it.

Isolation Years and Ending Credits as well.
Yup. And that unison guitar/keyboard solo... Probably my favorite Opeth moment ever. It kind of moves me to the point where I get confused between feeling very soothed and relaxed yet very uncomfortable. Amazing stuff.
Wreath and Hours of Wealth.
The solos in those two are just unbelievable.
Yes, I agree. I really dig Peter's solo on Wreath, it's pretty disturbing. And Mike's metal burst is also awesome. However, of those two, the bluesy solo in Hours of Wealth probably has the biggest impact on me. It's perfect.

Into the Frost of Winter
Eternal Soul Torture
Still Day Beneath the Sun
Patterns in the Ivy II
Derelict Herds
:)

Hessian Peel...

or is it too early for that? ;)

Older? I'm going to have to go with Dirge for November like many others here.

And Wreath.
