Yeah, DrX. Small and simple... but sets up for a slaughter.
JCP - For the most part, when I am on-line in this forum, MAYH is normally considered the least favorite of all Opeth's cds, and Karma is one song that is highly disregarded, except for a few of us on this site who think Karma is a kick-ass track. Hey, wait a minute. You just said when you're online in this forum it's normally least favored then said except for a few of us on this site who thinks it rocks. Which one you sticking with? I just want to know so when 5.0 gets here we've got our stories straight.
Bottom line is, I think Karma is killer. The Night and the Silent Waters is one of my favorites on Morningrise. Off Morningrise? That's my favorite.
Dolphz - Opet, I mentioned this on another thread-Orchid and MAYH are also my faves. These are the ones I almost always reach for when I want to listen to Opeth. My theory is that I like these two the best because they are the heaviest and the darkest of the bunch. Agree? Agree... with that? 100% absolutely I do and (regarding the new CDs) I figure this is the reason for why I want to hear the heavier album over the mellow first.
Thorns - lol how can you say the Fneral portarit underrated? Everyone I know says thats the best track on the album, especially becuz of the great dual guitar solos in that song. hehWell isn't that a laugh. I hear the exact opposite ALL THE TIME. I can't hear someone say "I can't stand Dirge..." (like Hondo mentioned) without Funeral being immediately added with it. How can I say that? Hm. Well, just like you seem to think that the song Blackwater Park is underrated. I see you've adopted the same words of Mikaels from his interviews. He called that song and I THOUGHT another off that album a riff orgy.
Blackwater Park. Why I oughtta.. You don't hear people talk about it much you say? Well, I NEVER hear people talk about Funeral Portrait unless its demeaning. Pffft! Blackwater Park. Underrated?! YOU GOTTA BE KIDDEN ME!

I also agree with the one who said the entire Orchid album is underrated. As far as songs, The Night and the Silent Water is most definitely underrated. You have to listen to all those harmonies to actually get what the song is all about. I know someone else already metioned all these things but i want my opinion to be known as well.
