Dead Can Dance - Toward the Within amazing, awesome, incredible

Couldn't agree more! This came with the CD boxset, but is now available seperately. Also, if you've not seen Baraka, you should. It's a movie of beautiful scenery with a few songs by DCD on the soundtrack - these songs are "extras" on the DVD with the scenes from Baraka as videos. The same filmaker who made Towards the Within made Baraka.

Anyway, DCD is high on my mind as I just received my Live Seattle disc in the mail last night. First show of the American tour (I flew up there to see it!)

DCD may just be my favorite band. I still listen to them all the time, and never grow tired of them. Both members have new solo albums coming out!

None of the California shows were recorded - some sort of Union/expense issue. Alas.

I hope you find Baraka, it's just the most beautiful movie to put it bluntly. I see it every couple of months, and in fact have a library copy at my house just now. It'll blow your mind, promise.

maybe we all over looked this because we think 'metal', 'metal', 'metal', but damn I put on Pink Floyd "The Wall" last night, and I forgot how damn good that DVD is!!! A most influential concept album and one hell of a twisted tale and of course an amazing album to listen to. So add this to your shopping list if you don't allready have it!

I had that already since long ago, as a movie by Alan Parker is one I like a lot mainly because of the textual context in which I saw it back in the day. As a musical opus I frankly enjoy it more the movie than the album, I found PF bland are pop by that time (not as bad as "The Final Cut" but close enough). Still has it's moments mainly 'Goodbye Blue Sky', 'Is There Anybody Out There?', 'Run Like Hell' and the incredible 'Confortably Numb'.

For a PF DVD looking basically for old schooll progressive rock I recommend "Live At Pompeii"

NP: Cathedral - Upon Azrael's Wings

The Shadows Fall dvd has a nice moment, that took place on 12.6.04, where SF and Damage Plan played "Walk" together, the ausio is complete shit, but it's a great moment, touring warriors shared the stage for an encore.
I think that was the last night of their tour together...

I remember just like it was yesterday getting these on VHS. I still need to get them on DVD, especially #2. That shit with Dio and Tony Martin is great, as well as the interviews with Cozy Powell.

Right I also got them on VHS, does the DVD have more extras?

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Talisman - "The World's Best Kept Secret" yet. GREAT 2-dvd set that has some awesome performances on it.
What a killer band........
