has to be the awakening. The middle part and solos are extremely awesome, I've never heard anything like it before. Romeo's soul is put into each note. It's so deep I can't even explain, so emotional.

Kate Bush Rulz - "thats not prog, thats pop"
hehe, see how your logic works against you.

The most beautiful peice of music ever writen is definately limp Biskiut's "Faith" or Korns "Blind". So much emotion, so much technicallity, so much exelence. hehehe

The most well composed modern song is indeed "A Change of Seasons". My favorite Symphony X song is also Candelight Fantasia, mostly for it's excellent beauty...

Favorite song? Here are just a few

Conception "In Your Multitude"
Nevermore "The Learning"
Symphony X "Through the Looking Glass"
Fates Warning "A Pleasant Shade of Grey IX"
Iced Earth "Dante's Inferno"

My favorite songs at the moment are : Arcturus - For To End Yet Again
Transatlantic - Stranger In Your Soul
Devin Townsend - Life
Obtained Enslavement - Soulblight
Opeth - Advent
Agalloch - In the shadow of our pale companion

I never said U2's "One" was prog, because believe it or not, I listen to genres other than progressive and power metal.

Also, I don't judge music by technicality.
