The funniest thing is simply how absolutely sincere and completely serious this is.

It is clearly also very competently done (without talking about the subjective qualities).

The brony phenomenon is a bit of a strange one to be sure and I find it difficult to completely rationalize. I have a friend who is into it for real and he is a very normal dude otherwise. It doesn't really seem different from the fanbase of any other show except that the extremes of it seem more creepy than usual.

I don't really know how else to comment on it. I like some silly TV shows and videogames too, but the commitment with this stuff is at a whole different level. But still, it's probably all just distraction from the grave all the same. Whatever makes you happy. Or less sad.

Our generation is lost. Our art, religion, culture, and academics are all so shitty that Flash animated cartoons marketed at 8 year old girls are more appealing.

^--- To be fair, as I understand it the latest incarnation of MLP takes the young adult demographic into account in its writing and whatnot, at least to some extent. I've seen some of it and I have to admit I get the appeal it might have for some, but why it's gathered this whole semi-weird subculture around it is beyond me.

Yeah the vocals are kind of iffy, but I kind of like the actual music and it sounds well produced. I get a kamelot/symphony x/nightwish kind of vibe.
