don't tell me this aint sexy as hell!

Nice choice dude! There isn't enough Gibson love around here! I've always loved the sounds of Gibson Vs. I just don't think I could ever get used to the location of that pickup selector. :D

yeah, I've got a love/hate relationship with gibson.
the made some of the finest guitars, but also some of the shittiest.
quality control is a hoax with Gibson (esp. after 2005).
but if you find a good Gibby you'll have a really solid axe.
yeah, the Pup selector could be a problem...could always relocate it though

Yea, Gibson's done some goofy stuff recently. I bought a new Les Paul Standard in '04 that's fuckin' boss. Was in the market to get another a couple years later and found out they started chambering the bodies! The chambered LPs still sound pretty good, but they almost feel like a toy compared to my solid-body, imo. Just didn't feel right in my hands. Not sure what they were thinking there...

this is fuckin nice i see it has the locking tuners i have to get some too i have the faded worn cherry v but this is too sexyyyyyy enjoy it!

Less weight for wimpy Emos and ageing rockers while having increased resonance (dynamics and harmonic content). Sounds like a win - win situation and a well-crafted, hand-selected chambered Les Paul will be indeed a good guitar, but what Gibson neglects is the fact, that people came to love the sound of the traditional solid-body design, they heard on countless records.

It's a bit ironic that the very guitar that was introduced to minimize the negative side-effects of putting pickups on hollowbody archtops, gets tone chambers itself roughly 50 years later.

But contrary to popular believe, it's not a measure taken to reduce costs, as the chambering actually increases production costs.

@ Lasse: Great catch! Make sure to blast out some Accept riffs accordingly!
