The attack on that kick is nice and soggy, I love it. Did you layer a few samples to get it? Is there some Slate in there? I have definitely noticed that layering different attack sounds when sample-making creates that super thick/not puny smack that I like so much. Neal Kernon told me that when sample making, it's common to layer even like 10 sounds and up...!

yep, there's some slate black kick in there (about 20-30%). I usually layer kicks to get the thickness.
