I think it's about time you got off that big horse and started sucking it up. About five years here and nothing's changed. Why even surround yourself with people you're generally disgusted by? I'm sure you've gathered all the ones you like into your instant messaging circle. Emails are there. Fucking go, then. Reading about how stupid this place is, is almost as annoying as reading a thread with my pals in the title and being obligated to make some dumb fuck racist joke.

Think about it... what is different than what was going on since the board opened? It IS just a line of people that come here, stay for a while, then leave when their tolerance for it goes away.

My not-so-distant ancestors came from overseas before slavery started... Many of which were from Poland... some of which never made it to the USA because they died in concentration camps.

I'm also certain that there are SOME people with Native American heritage. Their ancestors were fuckin DESTROYED. Racism will never stop. It's best to keep yourself locked in your home and turn off the radio, tv, and computer.

Naught wrong with some racist humour, and I don't think that the things that were said in this thread were anything more than humour (a bit respectlessly here and there), but it seems that when you point that out, the people who are ranting are too busy climbing on their pedestals to see that only a fraction of the posts in this thread were even racist to begin with.

I'm only responding to this because I know and like you...

Racism means jack-shit to me...It's just that nearly all of the so-called "jokes" are actually highly offensive to most normal people, and anyone who comes here for the first time looking to discuss/read about Nevermore will most likely be in for an unpleasant surprise. Nobody in their right mind is gonna come in here and go, "Wow, these Nevermore fans are so witty and sarcastic!". In fact, the reaction is just the opposite. Seriously guys...We have a living legend guitarist, one of the baddest drummers ever (who is a minority), and a bassist who happens to be a really, really nice and genuine guy in this band, and it's not fair that you guys are misrepresenting them and their talent with these ignorant and foolish threads and comments. REAL METAL is not doing so well, and great bands like Nevermore need all the fans that they can get in order for *us* to continue to enjoy the art that these guys give to the world.

Now that I said that, I wanna say this to the idiots who call me "pc" or whatever...

Canada blows. I lived there for three years and nobody blows better than them Canuck hoes. Actually, I like to use the term "robohoes" for them since it was like second nature and shit. I boned like 80 chicks there, including two sisters on consecutive nights. I prolly got some illegitimate kids there too that I don't care about (that's what us negros are famous for...well that and peanut butter). So I can kinda understand why you skinny little Canadian dorks who don't get any action say the things that you do. Belgium (aka Fake-France) sucks too. You guys feel alone because your nation has no real identity, thus the need for offensive remarks to get a little attention for something other than Waterloo. It's all good though...maybe I'll come back one day and puke in the street again after eating that god-awful yellow shit disguised as sauce that you guys love so much.

I can follow you when you say that you don't agree with the way the band is represented in this board. I don't think anyone would've jumped at you if you'd said so in a less ranty manner. Sometimes I wonder why some comments are made around here, and I will most certainly not defend outright racism. You'll also notice that none of the "my pals"-comments came from me, in fact, I specifically asked where it was written that they were black, because I thought everyone just assumed. Go on, check the thread, it's in there.

The only reason I (and I can only speak for myself here) took a swing at you was because you acted all morally superior and as if you were the one who was appointed to teach us disgusting creatures a lesson. But who are you to call us what you called us, man? You blub about how we all are racist, yet only three comments were posted in this thread that even had a faint whiff of racism clinging to it. The rest were sympathy- and indignation posts. And then a great champion of morality like yourself comes in and rails at all of us just because he wants to show how morally upstanding he is. You have to understand that acting this way will turn everyone against you and cause everyone to show his ugliest side.

Anyway, to come back to your original point, I agree with you somewhat that the few people who make racist jokes may not be the best representation for the band. I'll go with you as far as that. It's where you adopt the whole hurt-but-morally-superior-minority-act that I find you a drama queen.

Aw come on! He floats by on his sanctimonious cloud every now and again yet you can understand why he said that? About 5% of it made any sense and the rest turned out to be simplistic ad-homs.

I like Trace because he has conviction, but it'd be a stretch to say he doesn't enjoy playing the antagonist role.
