I went with NB. In fact, I would probably go so far as to say that they're the greatest BM band today based on their last two releases alone. Maiastru Sfetnic sounds like ancient epic Slavic war, and 'N Crugu Bradului captures the spirit of the deep Romanian forest changing through the seasons.

Everything about them screams intellect and creativity (including the PhD and excellent Negura journal).

Although musically excellent, I take points away from NM for resorting to the swastika gimmick. It's just not as creative as the leaf.

Negura Bunget is one of my favorite, if not my most favorite, black metal band.

I really do like Nokturnal Mortum, but I only have Goat Horns and for now that's enough.

Strange , Goat Horns is considered as the best NM release by a lot of people . In every french webzine I use to go , it is the 'less good' album and I concur .

Lunar Poetry , To The Gates .. and Nechrist are very good . The Taste Of Victory is a little disappointing .

Negura Bunget rule immensly and they peaked with their last release (with the exception of Sala Molska which is maybe as great) .

I say NM but they'd better take over a little , otherwise NB will get my vote

Revise your judgement and buy To The Gates Of Blasphemous Fire or Necrhist

I went with NM, simply because they are better. I have most everything by each band, and I rarely pick up NB.

Goat Horns>anything by NB

Well yesterday I came to the conclusion that "Vînt Dã Rãu Pîn Valea Iadului" (I think that's the title) from the "Sala Molksa" EP is one of the VERY. BEST. SONGS. EVER. In black metal and such it is WAY up there with things like "Transilvanian Hunger", "Kuyaviya", "Freezing Moon", "Perun's Celestial Silver", "Det Som Engang Var" (though it doesn't quite touch this, the best song ever)

Simply put: if you don't have NB's "Sala Molksa" EP you're missing out on some of the best fucking music ever penned. Sure, all their other stuff is great too but ³³²¼«»°³¼²«³¹¼ VINT DA RAU!
