Has anyone here subscribed to this service? I'm thinking about it because at the moment I have the unfortunate habit of just buying DVDs I'm interested in watching rather than renting them. But this looks good, and I've heard good things about the US version.

The URL is http://www.netflix.com.au/default.asp

For those that don't know, it's a thing where you can rent 3 DVDs and then you just post them back to them (free of charge - they give you a postpak to send them in) and then they send you more. No late fees or anything.

Any good/bad reports please. $36.93 a month which seems a bit expensive, but probably won't if I keep thinking about it.
Muchos gracias.

A group of us used to subscribe to http://webflicks.com.au/ which is a similar thing. We used to abuse the hell out of it though, we were getting something like 5 or 6 DVDs a week. No complaints at all, and in fact recommendations. We once got a damaged disk, so we rang and told them and there were no repercussions, and once we lost a shipment of 3 disks when we moved offices. I can't remember what happend with those. We didn't actually loose them, we ordered them and they were sent, but we never got them. I *think* we marked them as never received and didn't hear any more about them, and just started getting more. I know we didn't pay for them.

So although it's not the same place, it's a similar place, although that probably has nothing to do with it because you didn't ask about them, but there you go, you can't have everything.

I was gonna mention this to you, Spiffy - they have a similar thing here (all based on Netflix in the US I guess, which has spawned a few imitators - even Blockbuster, apparently?). Sounds like a good deal if you watch a lot of fillums.
