Nevermore Live

Gonna see them live in march with Symphony X and Psychotic Waltz. Most awesome line up at a concert I've ever been I think :D

They had a little bit of an issue with paying their liquor taxes - after paying some hefty chunk in back taxes they were handed another big bill for a security deposit, and they just didn't have the money. They're shut down until a new owner or some more investors come along.

Jeff

Some luck :bah:, but at least they're still playing here. Ya, maybe I'll see you tonight. I'll be the guy in the black t-shirt screaming Nevermore... ;)

I went to watch Nevermore in Melbourne a few years ago at the Espy, and I had the honour of being shoved to the ground by half of the band. I was standing in the front bar watching the guy who does the 60's 70's covers, (he is awesome I forget his name) and bam "somebody" shoves me over. I stand up and see Nevermore shoving their way down the stairs and through to the Gershwin room entrance hall. I guess even people in different venues to the one they are playing in have to make way for the mighty Nevermore.

They played good, I enjoyed the night aside from having the band I payed to see push me over, I mean the could have tapped me on the shoulder and asked me to move.

I wish someone more agro than me had been knocked, I would have loved to see some crasy aussie oker bashing the shit out of those arrogant but talented fucks.

Saw them at their Denver gig. Was killer except that there were too many opening bands so that Nevermore couldn't play longer. They are my wife's favorite band and it made her very happy to see how tight and powerful they are live. Warrel said that they will be back on another leg of the tour so we are even more stoked.

God that vid would slay if the kick drum wants distorting the mic ....lol

Jeff is just AMAZING live. Atilla is his perfect compliment. Seriously.

The kick was distorting live almost :( Only at certain moments, but i could hear distortion and it sucked haha, it didn't take away just how awesome Jeff and Atilla were, how awesome the whole fucking band were :Smokin:

Lesson: never take off when your favorite band just finished playing. There's always a good chance they'll come out and hang a while in the place after it's cooled up a bit

Hard lesson learned... I'm tempted to drive up the road to Austin on Sunday to see them again.

Ron Jarzombek was around too, and - although I didn't get to talk to him - he's responsible for what I wound up doing later... I wasn't counting on being able to stay long enough to meet the guys, but I wanted to talk to Jarzombek for a bit and while I was waiting for that to happen Jim came out and had a few people offer to buy him drinks. Eventually they all headed over to the bar across the street (the one whose sign appears to say Fucker's) and then screwed around in the parking lot after not-Fucker's closed.

Jeff

Guys, they tore shit up. Small venue, the stage was like 3 feet higher than the floor, no gates, people getting on stage. VERY intimate, they're all very funny guys. The new guitar player looked so happy to be playing with his favorite band, and the bands stage presence as a whole was huge. They were tight as fuck, but he did forget lyrics/the band had to restart a song because they started so bad, haha.

I looked for a guy with a bunny shirt and someone that resembled your avatar but no luck. hehe Why was Ron there? So, did a bunch of people head over to the bar with Nevermore? I'm so jealous...

So what did you think of the show? The only thing that bothered me was that I could barely hear the vocals. I kinda of laughed because I always thought these guys were huge! I didn't realize they were so short. hehe Not that I care but kind of threw off my perception. :) I left kind of bitter because when the guy threw Jeff's picks off the stage one hit my chest and fell to the ground and as my gf and I rushed to grab it some asshole threw himself between my legs and swept it up. :bah: I was right in front of Loomis with my sexy Nevermore shirt I scored by preordering the deluxe edition of their new album. Anyways the best part was when Jeff did the River Dragon solo right in front to me... My face is still recovering from shock and melt damage. I'm considering heading up to Austin to see them tonight for round 2. I love these guys.

Dude that guy had the biggest smile on his face the entire time! All the previous setlists mentioned they were going to play "The Seven Tongues of God" but they didn't here, how about Houston? It seems like they substituted with "Moonrise".

Same, no 7 Tongues, also replaced with moonrise.
