Nevermore Singer Drunk on Stage

He was stumbling in the may 25th show i remember he was like
IAM THE VOAAAYAA -buuuuuuuuuuuurp- I've TASTED PLEASURES OF THE -falls down-

:\ it was sad

and the point of this was? Other than adding another post to the milions you have over there, seriously this is not /b/ (i hope so)

Bro, that post is over two years old :)

Drunken live performances can be really amusing (if it's a band that can be taken with loads of humour and still enjoyed), but usually they're extremely sad to watch. My biggest disappointment was this summer's Stone gig. Stone is one of my all-time favourites and biggest influences, and after ages of being split they did a couple of reunion gigs this summer. I was really, really psyched to see them since this was probably a once-in-a-lifetime chance for me, but at the moment they started playing me and my buddy noticed something was terribly wrong. Latvala's solos sounded awful (not just a bit off, more like a 13-year-old with his first guitar) and soon he couldn't keep up to the rhythm parts either. The other players were giving him disappointed and pissed-off looks all the time, and after three songs I decided to walk away and get some kebab and more beer. Never thought I would walk away from their show, but if it's not important enough to one of my guitar-playing idols to stay sober for 45 minutes, it ain't for me either.

Hah didn't notice that, so many necrophiles around lately :loco:

Ok, I think the same way about drinking before going on stage as Pantera: Its good in moderate use, but too much of the "goodstuff" will just end up bad.

Edit:

Ive seen Entombed live, when L.G. Petrov threw his micstand over the drums, tearing all the mics down!
And between the songs he would shout at boats passing by, because they didnt pay(Metaltown-sweden, dont remember the year.)!
Although I would actually be quite bummed out if I went to an Entombed gig and Petrov was sober.

The last time I saw Entombed Petrov almost choked on his own HAIR after the first song! He was gagging and pulling his hair from his throat. That's what moshing and growling does

HA! Holy shit, that's such a priceless image

Both times I've met Warrel Dane, he's been a complete fucking cock-smoker. He's a fucking cum-guzzling fruitcake and I hope he breaks his fucking neck.

Nevermore would sound so much better without him on vocals. You have no idea how many good songs that guy has ruined.

Man what is up with the recent uprising of the old threads lately?!?

I can't judge how good/bad the guy is but i can't stand his singing either and i'd LOVE to hear Nevermore without him or with a different vocalist.

Pretty sucky, i mean a few beers before you go on yeh, but proper pissed? People are paying to see you!

Dude, if there was a profession where you'd get utterly wasted and people paid to come and see you yell at the delirium tremens demons and sing old classics horribly wrong, I would instantly abandon all dreams of working in the audio business and start properly expressing myself.

uhh, this is nothing new, lol. I've seen Nevermore at least 30 times. he loves to say "bitches". when i lived next door to Jeff and Van (i was 18, a dumb 7 string bedroom shreddaholic) anytime Warrel was around (not often) he was hammered, or at least appeared so.:loco: But that was like, 7 years ago.

I was there, and it's true. The band was tight as hell but Warrell screwed it up for those of us who are big time fans. Some didn't seem to be upset, that's cool but my buddy and I were let down. I had never witnessed anything on stage like that before and hope to see the full band at some point AND WD sober. James McDonough apologized to me during In Flames' set but wtf...what can He say. Tom Englund of Evergrey told me what happened was tragic...and I agree.

Yeah, but Tom isn't exactly any angel with the drink either while onstage. During the EG concert in Sydney, he and Henke swilled off entire Jack Daniels'.

As far as I know, Warrell does not drink anymore. I've met him a few times and he was totally cool. I also think his vocals are badass, and his lyrics are amazing.
