NEW ALBUM Q42 017/Q1 2018

That fill at 0:05 is amazing, they used to be known for this kind of pretty harmonies on FTR. The melody is like darkwave electronic stuff with sped up support guitar. Still the sample is different and not exactly like the green or blue album.

That's definitely more interesting than the other two songs. Let's hope that it's not too repetitive and that there are other such songs on the album too.

This man is an absolute beast. I don't think I can think of many other guitarists of this generation as good as him. I mean... Obviously Jari Mäenpää also makes it in my 'Top Guitarists' list. But I still think that Teemu is leagues ahead anyone else. Both in term of composing and of technique. Other people might be able to play what he plays, but he does it with such ease... It's like nothing is difficult for him. Like... look at his right arm/hand when playing... The dude's just chilling while I would get a tendinitis trying to play this...

I wouldn't say that Teemu is the better composer (he's not a composer at all) - I still think that Alexis writing skills are unmatched.
But I don't know of any better guitarist at the moment in his age. Alexi is easily 1 or 2 classes worse (technique wise).

This sounds exactly like 0:14 of Kissing The Shadows

this generation, or any other generation for that matter, has many ridiculously skilled guitarists that are also wonderful composers. I don't know if you like heavier genres of metal but there's plenty unbelieveable shredders there. To name a few of the more melodic ones that I'm familiar with:
Josh McMorran of Bloodshot Dawn, 31yo, phrasing specialist
Joe Haley of Psycroptic, 36yo, crazy smooth playing and probably the most unique sound of the bunch, great riffer
Mendel bij de Leij of Aborted, 30yo, proggy diverse style
Rafael Trujillo of Obscura, 24yo, the most technical of the bunch

Then there's guys like Brian Kingsland, 35yo, whom absolutely no one knows about. Until they land a job at a band like fucking Nile. Pure shredder with classical background
