Yes, that is a fantastic cover! And now we can dub "Mehtä" as "Shades of Gray" :)

EDIT: That familiar figure in the guy's hand is a nice touch ;)

Sweet. I expected something in this direction (albeit more abstract) when I heard that Bates was doing the cover, but it looks even better than I imagined. BTW there's a familiar symbol [EDIT: crosspost with Blizk!

] on the person's hand...

I like that cover, too.
The mood and the ambiance. I think it reach something from the 90´s metal releases cover art.

Well, that jaw bones of a pike are a bit cramed and it could be better without. Looks like a giant ears. :) But even then I like that.
And the Hannes Cross is good.

Heh, now that you're saying it...:loco: But it doesn't look like a pike's jaw either. Could be a moose, but don't take my word for it.

Karhu, when you read this - what's the hunter's verdict on the matter?

But it doesn't look like a pike's jaw either.

You´r right, doesn´t much look like a pike. It was the first animal I get from my head.

Maybe it´s an elephant. Dumbo, you know. Blaah, now I am almost wicked. :Smokedev: And a bit tired.

I think the cover art is a bit strange, has an Art Nouveau feel like this:

At first I thought it was a lady with a bonnet and scarf.

Well, I can't fully judge the cover until I've listened to the album itself. It seems it is quite mood-setting. Little details here and there show some background, referencing older titles and probably something on this album, but yeah, those horse jaws or whatever make it a bit weird.
I like it that the figure looks androgynous.

I guess they had better covers, but this is far from bad. But, like I said, will need to go through the album first.

Also, song titles sound really awesome, mostly. Shades Of Gray reminds me a bit of that dumb book.

The figure looks more like a girl to me. The horse jaws, or whatever that actually is, perplex me. Besides, there are antlers as well. Don't know what to make of it, but I surely don't like it much and definitely will not buy a t-shirt with it.
I don't pretend to be an art critic, though four years of history of art in high school make me somewhat qualified, but I know how to analyse an image ;)
Anyways, hopefully the music will be good.
Besides, I didn't like the egg cover much either.

Horse jaws.

Thanks! I find them a bit weird, too, but the rest I like. And there won't be as many jokes about the cover as last time (I admit to making a few myself in the day, can't really help it since the Finnish word for "egg" has more than one meaning). The art deco [EDIT: oops, nouveau I mean] similarities are clearly there, but Bates worked in this style way before the PL album came out. The floral theme reminds me more of Silent Waters than of Tragic Idol.

Horse jaws.

Oh no :(
As a horse-person that don´t feel good. Little childish, but what can I do...
But I would guess that is not a horse jaw. Horses have biger teeth, and not so many of them.

I still like rest of the cover.

Looking a bit more at it, yes, the figure looks more like a female. Still can't be to sure though.

I like the antlers, but the jaws are confusing.

Don't know what to say about it as a shirt design...
