New Amp! Orange TH30 (Clip inside)

yh thanks man!

fuck all those people who say the th30 can't do metal
i think it's tight enough for metal:hotjump:

Done a new clip using this amp the other day and figured I'd post it here:

Gain and Volume at 12:00, shape at 3:00.
Tubescreamer with gain min, tone 12:00 and level max
Recabinet Mesa cab with SM57

Can't remember if this is 83's or 82's actually! Either way it's JJ tubes.

Sounds awesome! Definitely has that Orange tonality to it even thought it's got EL84s. Doesn't sound like a generic metal tone that everyone seems to be into these days but instead makes you want to listen to it more. I feel like Orange doesn't let you do that... even if you boost it with a TS it will not make it sound like every other amp. :)

I quite fancy getting a TH100 actually as it's EL34's and has alot more power to it, 34's should make it sound a bit thicker than the 84's aswell. Nearly £1000 though...

The power soak on the Thunderverbs is what really makes them special. Other than that... I had the chance to compare my Rockerverb 100 to a Thunderverb 50 and I'd say the differences were subtle but noticable. Did I post clips? Anyways the Rockerverb sounded a bit bigger and better with more low end in my opinion at least but it might've been the 100w vs 50w thing. That being said the Thunderverb 50 was EQUALLY LOUD! Yes... I think both can be way louder than you'd ever want it to be.

I found the clips:

I just love the bite on that Rockerverb. And no boosts with gain on 6 out of 10 on the Rockerverb where as the Thunderverb had gain on 9 out of 10. Rockerverb has more gain which is the contrary to what people think. :)
