New Born of Osiris Song-Produced by Bulb and Casey Sabol

I really don't like how Bulb produces every band/project the same and it all ends up sounding like his music.

I wouldn't go hating on bulbs production style just because it doesn't suit B.o.o specifically.

Bulbs got his sound sorted, it just so happens that sound is spot on for his own band. Unfortunatly it doesn't work quite as well for these guys but thats a lesson learnt.

Not a bad production, just the wrong one for the band.

As expected, sounds retarded... worse version of Periphery's Superior + AxeFX presets + less inspiring music = boring, rehashed, and cliché, with bad production to boot.

If production doesn't work for a band, it's bad production, or at least a production failure, IMO.

Bulb has his sound sorted - you said it yourself. That's great, for a musician, but a terrible quality in an engineer, as this + all of the non-Periphery productions have proven.

man their songs just keep getting worse..

yea the production sounds like bulb, but its better then whoever recorded their last album at least

I think you guys are jumping on the "it sounds like Periphery" comment way too fast. It has some similar qualities, but what producer doesn't have qualities that transcend their works? Now, I think it's pretty boring, but it doesn't reek of Periphery to me.

Listen to the Haunted Shores and Animals as Leaders albums and tell me the same thing.

I was comparing this clip to the Periphery album and not those bands. Bulb plays on Haunted Shores anyways.

He's only new to this, it's not like he's been producing bands for years and knows how to change sounds for the style of band. I'm not sticking up for the guy; the sound of the Periphery album was a disappointment to me.

OK 2:07-2:20 could be on the Periphery album lol... I see where you guys are coming from, but on first listen I didn't pick it up as much.

The lowend just isnt working for me. Too round and mushed together.

aside from the noticeable mix, i enjoyed what i heard. this band has never really been listenable for me personally because of all the tech-ness. But this teaser thing has me iterested in their next stuff no matter who engineers/produces it.

Not digging the vocals at all. I think they're floating a lot over the mix and don't sound consistent with the mix. They weren't my fave band before this and they certainly aren't now.
