Finally downloaded this.
An actual 80s sounding metal record without using cheap production tactics to MAKE it sound like the 80's.
I won't mention any offenders as certain people here would get their panties in a bunch........

Wow the samples I heard of Reverence sounded great! Just ordered it (needed to add something to an Amazon order to get the free shipping so it was good timing!).

That's such an underrated Venom album.
I have it on cassette! It is so raw. It's as much punk as it is metal.
If anyone wants to know where Dark Throne got their sound, look no further than Venom's Possessed.

Veggie and I went to the Disc Replay in Springfield a month or two ago. They had like 12 CDs and it ranged from late 90s pop to early 2000s pop.

Indeed. I was able to expand my crappy horror movie collection with some $2.22 purchases, but in terms of music... It was pretty fail.

This one does indeed live up to the hype.
Geddy's playing is absolutely insane on this one.
Very heavy too.

it is funny you push this band so hard and rave about them but if it didnt have the Savatage guy in it you would not give this the time of day. Like some people from another forum.

It is a heavier and more progressive album, but the songs aren't sticking with me. Same as the last few Rush albums, really.

The album is great. Give it a listen.
They did not choose the best song on the disc for their first video.
They have a new video coming out this week for my fav song on the album.

For the record, I actually know about this band from getting contacted by their guitarist Bryan Holland who was in Tokyo Blade. He reached out initially to anyone on FB who had a page relating to anything Savatage (IE - fan pages, their official, tributes, etc)

Of course my interest was initially peeked because of the former bands the members were in......

I am not a fan of JOP, Doctor Butcher, Chris Cafferey Solo, most Trans Siberian Orchestra, the list goes on.....

REVERENCE plays exactly the music I am currently into (And you are too, but since others were into them before you were, you won't give them a chance).....

Sure, I know a couple of the guys in the band which also made me want to buy the album to also support them. I liked their tunes since I first heard them in their demo form on their ReverbNation page. I spoke about them multiple times, esp on the PP forum. It's not like they came out of nowhere and jumped on board because they have Savatage's original drummer. Heck, its not like I like them because of their drumming. They have really good choruses, and the vocalist to me is a cross between DIO and the guy from DREAM EVIL.
