New Dates On The Upcoming Na Tour!!

If you think Lamour is a GREAT club for metal, than you're never been anywhere else. Unfortunately, it's the best New York has to offer for metal. The sound there sux balls. The Best club on the whole east coast is located in Philadelphia, and it's called the Trocadero. I know, I've been to clubs all over the country, and all over the world. Lamour rates amongst the worse.

Rather silly assumption on your part, eh? I've *been* to the Trocadero, and while it's a cool place, it's still not as good a metal club as L'Amours. For that matter, I've seen metal shows on both coasts, down south, and this summer in Europe. I'm 30 and have been seeing shows for well over 15 years. I think I know when something sounds good, but thanks for trying to tell me different.

Sorry buddy, got to disagree. The Trocadero Theater is a far superior venue. First of all, it's just that, a Theater. So it was acoustically built for musical entertainment. lamour is a converted warehouse. The Troc's sound system is far superior, and it always sounds great there. It's bigger, has two floors, a nice comfortable balcony with a great site line of the stage. Nice BIG stage. Very high ceilings, great big dance floor. A real light show. The Troc compares to places like the the House of Blues in Chicago and LA, to places in NY like the Academy, The Ritz (RIP). Like 013 in Tilberg, or the LA2 in London. It's a MUSIC VENUE, not just a "club", which is what Lamour is.

 I wish I viewed the Trocadero in as high a light as that, but then again, I have nothing to compare it to per Metal venues except the Electric Factory in philly... which the smallest bands there are traditionally such bands as SLAYER...

I really wish A.A. & Behemoth we're hitting the troc, Im afraid besides the Metalfest, theres no dates near close enough to Philly for me currently be able to make... damnit, maybe sometime soon... I hope

N.P.: Iced Earth- Night of the Stormrider (new version !) :headbang:

The Electirc Factory is a very nice GIGANTIC club. But unfortunately, since that building was a FACTORY at one time, it also has bad acoustics. See that one wall that is ALL windows down the left side of the buliding? very bad for sound. Also, the sight line to the stage from the balcony totally sucks, unless you are along the railing, you can't see shit, and even then, you have to look sideways, which can be uncomfortable. I saw Slayer there, Pantera, Judas Priest, and Queensryche, a bunch of others. Good shows. Byt Muddy sounds.

The best midsized venue (3000 cap.) in my opinion, is in Tilberg Holland, and it's called 013. This place is built as a ampitheater, it has AWESOME sound equipment, a gigantic stage. I've been there quite a few times and every show I have seen there has sounded great, and everyone in the room (3000 people!) could see the stage clearly! Great room.

I heard there was going to be a Florida date recently, about 4 days ago, but it looks like that may not happen....I think this tour was planned chaotically again, and it didn't have time to fully develop. I hope there are more dates added, but if you add in the driving time and weather conditions I highly doubt it...

Too late for additions, that's for sure. Never heard of a tour where they take weekend off and play Monday. This sucks balls, I'm so pissed. No serious band should ever consider touring with that headliner nor deal with that shitty tour promoter. FUCK!

I think thebooking agent is still trying to book a couple more shows, but yeah, it's just about over here. There were two more dates added yesterday. Seems the east coast got pretty shafted on this tour. Philly promoter passed. Seems A lot of areas got shafted. All those days off are not good for bands pocketbooks, I'll tell you that. I hope they make it all the way through it or I will not see it at all!

Well, just spoke with Vehemence and I know what their money situation is like for this tour, and they are most likely not going to come home with a penny other than possible merch cash....Looks like this tour is not coming along as nicely as I thought it was when it was first announced...That, and the booking was a bit unorganized and last minute....Looks like people will be driving hours if they really want to see this tour

I don't mind driving/flying to see the tour I just hope (as was mentioned) that they actually make it to the end of that soon to be disastorous tour. That would really suck if I fly to NYC and the show is cancelled. SHIT ! Amon Amarth just can't seem to catch a break with the US tour. Why would they even cosider adding more dates? Who the hell would show up. Somebody should edid the subject of this topis as well to NO DATES

There is still like 4 days between Illinois and Cleveland, seems like detroit should/could fall somewhere in there. Why don't you call your local club and tell them to book the show? can't hurt I guess.

What purpose would a secret show accomplish? Keep it secret so nobody knows it's happening?

and if Deicide wants to keep a show in their home town a secret, that's pretty unfair to the opening bands.

i dont know what it accomplishes other than having it so a bunch of posers dont come and spoil the show for everyone!! secret shows happen alot just last year immolation played without saying a word and a few other bands i forget who though...
and i dont know if im the only one who notices this but bands (most bands anyway) almost always avoid playing shows in there home town!!! i see it happen all the time and its always a show that i wanna see! its like they have some kind of fear of playing infront of the locals or something...

Like he said-What would be the purpose of a secret show...I heard that the FL show was a go, but things change constantly on the road, and with the booking agents...We shall see, I'll keep you posted!

Ok now, This is a completely retarded statement, sorry. usually bands want to play in front of as many people as possible, whether they are supposed 'posers' or tr00 and kvlt fans. The more crowded a room, the better the vibe for the band playing. You think they want to play to half empty room becuase some club decided they were going to put a 'poser ban' in place, and only let in true fans or something? and who is to say who is a poser and who is not?

And a lot of the time, bands are paid more for the amount of people they bring in. i think if it means a little more money in their pockets, the bands wouldn't care how many posers were in the audience, as long as maybe they would gain more fans, and sell more records and merchandise.

So what is a 'poser' anyway, and how do they ruin a show? Come on, be realistic. Do they ruin it because they don't really know the music and stand in the back, or don't pay attention and just drink with their friends? What's it to you? Nazi skinheads ruin shows, or troublemakers who drink too much and pick fights ruin shows, but I don't think 'posers' (whatever they are) ruin shows.

Well cause the dates moved around I can't see them. I guess that's my luck for seeing two sf dates and then having the one I can go to get cancelled....Good luck on the tour guys...hopefully I'll catch you on some other run.
