"New" horror movies

yeah..ive seen my share of new horror and i tell ya what, it aint very good..its very dissapointing and most of them are rated PG-13..i mean wtf, mate? no gore? stupid kids getting hurt? gimmie back my horror! i will not see the remake of Amityville Horror..thats a freakin travesty and ill be damned to see that House of Wax remake!

Yeah, being a huge horror fan I am pretty much not a happy camper when it comes to the crap they have been throwing out.

PG 13 has become the norm for films now, it's safe and brings in a larger group of people. So now everyone is cutting thier films for PG 13 whenever possible.

Gimme back my exploding heads, chest bursters, flesh eatin zombies. Give me back my gore and for gods sake at least TRY to make a film somewhat horrific.

Not even the Dawn of the Dead remake had enough gore, yeah it is a sad trend nowadays.

I don't even know if I've seen any new good horror films recently

There's been some good zombie comedies though.. Undead, Shaun of the Dead. Maybe thats it.

I liked the new Dawn , I bought the Unrated Directors vesion though. Im actually looking forward to several of these films. Esp. LAND OF THE DEAD, Romero rocks. Tobe Hoopers got a new film this year which is promising.

Shaun of the Dead was one funny movie. I had to drag my friends kicking and screaming to see it, I got alot of " dude, WHAT is this movie called? "
but after it was over everyone admitted how great it was. I need the DVD.

I thought it was a pretty good movie too, but even with the advertised "OH NO DIRECTOR'S CUT MORE GORE THAN EVARRR" it still wasn't all that gorey.

but yeah, LAND OF THE DEAD :zombie:

and then there's RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD, what, 4 AND 5 on the way??

plus plenty more. zombie movies are making a triumphant return, in all their cheesy glory. Even blockbuster is picking up the ultra-low budget ones that aren't worth seeing  Vampires vs Zombies what?? Zombie bloodbath 2? corpses are forever?? the list goes on.

Your right but I did enjoy that fact that it was 13 minutes longer. I like movies to be in the two hour range. Hour and a half makes me feel ripped off.

More zombie movies is always awesome. I could watch those all day. The old Italian ones are pretty sick.
