NEW lamb of god song

Lamb of God never did it for me (they just bore me, especially Blythe's monotone vocals with no power behind 'em and the fact that almost every song I've heard is that same driving 6/8 feel), so I guess you're kinda not alone Joe! :goggly:

I'm quite the same... I loved the first albums (till' "as the palaces burn") but then i feel as they got better production (which was their main flaw on the first albums IMO), they didn't refreshed their sound (i mean songs/style) enough... With each new album there were new elements but not enough, and their typical LOG gimmicks started to sound boring to me.

And now i can't stand the vocals (except when it sounds a bit different than the usual stuff) and the guitar sound/riffs and the drum patterns.

Pisses me off. Lamb of God was one of the first bands that really got me into heavy music. I hate this copy paste crap, they did on sacrament too.

It's as though Willie goes, "Well, I don't have a chorus riff, let's just use the main riff!" There's a riff in set to fail with the double bass that really hits, but after they do it 5 times in the song and making it a chorus riff....I get a little bored. I really didn't like sacrament much at all because it didn't have any memorable riffs for me....and this is almost worse. I actually like the guitar tone a bit better than sacrament though...more edgy like ashes.

Grammy nominee... Someone obviously likes them! I dig the new album, but sacrament did nothing for me. It's not really the writing or the recordings that impress me with this band; it has a lot to do with their tight live show. Great band and always look forward to hearing new music from them.

Wrath, bought it last week and i think its boring! there just aren't stand out tracks ala. Sacrament

Years later I still find myself putting Ashes of the Wake and As the Palaces Burn in the CD player and its like listening to something new every time. Something about the writing on those albums, the drums, the guitars, the vocals - it all fit together so well. Then something happened and I don't know what it was. I haven't been impressed by any new metal releases lately with the exception of Colors.
