NEW Macbook Pro's are out

I have decided I really don't want to buy any kind of laptop untill I really have to or have one bought for me. I just always have the idea in my head that computers aren't made to be moved around that much, battery lives aren't that great, expandability is really reduced, cost, amongst other things.

That being said when I do pick one up for mobile stuff, I'll get a MacBook Pro for sure.

apple has awesome tech support, warrantee agreements, and your purchasing a product from a highly respectable company. try getting dell to replace a monitor with a dead pixel!!! also their os and software is superior. plus they look cool!!! i could go on for days but im at work right now....

how is this? what limitations?

no drive bays, no pci slots, attached monitor and they probobly wont get quadcore processing until that goes mobile... other than that it's a good machine for multimedia and stuff..just not cool expandable audio machine

a few years ago apple was making lower priced towers in the $1400 range..it's a shame they gave up on that...

Yeah... and just because you don't buy a Mac doesn't mean you have to buy a Dell. Fuck Dell. But no PC-Mac pissing wars or I will send my army of angry hamsters to destroy your power cables.

I gotta be honest - as much as I've always hated Dell in the past... I just got back from replacing a crashed HDD on one of those iMac copy XPS machines that my neighbor has... damned nice piece of kit! Very well thought out and designed, service wasn't bad (overnighted a new HDD, talked to a dude in Texas, not India), and I LOVE that the keyboard has a trackpad on it!

You haven't experienced customer support until an agent tells someone that her hard drive is going out because the CD drive won't open when she pushes the button...

... when in fact they themselves installed a CD burning suite that locked the button so you could only remove CDs through that application.

Compound. Epic. Fail.
