The courier brought me a pair of Yamaha HS80M's a couple of days ago. As you can see, they're pretty monstrous compared to my old Events:
The placement still sucks. I ordered a pair of stands, too, but they won't be here until tomorrow. Then I can finally get some distance between the window and the monitors, which should further help the low frequency problems I've had. The difference in the low end department is pretty huge when switching between the 5.25" Events and the 8" Yamahas, and the Yammies seem a lot more clear and defined, too. Not at all fatiguing or overly sharp.
