NEW song posted from Warrel Dane's "Praises To The War Machine"

Doesn't anyone agree with me about how amazing Your Chosen Misery is? I kept telling Will wait till you get to it it's great especially the end! "eh, it's ok.". Liverslapper, wait until you get to Your Chosen Misery it's so emotional! "this song is ok".

Absolutely agreed !!! I can't stop playing this song - it is heartfelt and I'm sure it's personal for him judging by the lyrics. I get goosebumps when he sings "every time you wanna make the world go away".

blind are the hypocrites
the lizards drunk with power
through idiosyncrasies and blasphemy
the world will be devoured

while the poor men die, the rich men sing
monetary praises, to the war machine

the rats swing for change and equality
while our mechanics of power stain humanity

i am the new breed
the bastard of Adam's seed
while the poor men die, the rich men sing
monetary praises, to the war machine
the day the rats went to war
???? and the mutiny spread
throughout the moors, the day the rats went to war

Only part I can't figure out for this is the part with the ????s. of course post your suggestions as well. I might do Your Chosen Misery next, although I attempted it last night and severely botched it haha

Yeah I'd like to know what that word Warrel uses in Your Chosen Misery is. "You selfishly arrogant _______".

Sounds like sycofaults but I can't find it in the dictionary. Can't be sycophants.

The full verse is:

You self-serving arrogant sycophant
your selfish acts, thoughtless tasks, and livid rants
every time you want to make the world go away
just take an injection of your chosen misery

Apparently EricT has better ears than me, or maybe it's just the layering of the vocals that's fuckin with me...some of these lyrics are REALLY hard to make out (ie 02:49-02:55 in Your Chosen Misery etc).

Edit: Here's "Brother", I'm fairly certain it's all correct. But as always, post any changes/suggestions.

Brother, you were never there for me
when the children needed peace
you disgraced both families

brother, you were never there for me
when my father died, I thought that you would
take my hand, he said I was just too young

sister, I can tell you all the love I have for you
our mother sleeps in silent peace
because your love was true

but brother, you were never there for me
when my father died, I thought that you would
take my hand, he said I was just too young

if I could erase one moment of pain
I'd throw away everything, even fame
if I could play God, you know what I'd do
I'd swim through your blood and kill the cancer in you

but brother, you were never there for me
I was just too young, now I've grown and I can say
that brother, you were never there for me
when my father died, I thought that you would
take my hand, he said I was just too young

if I could play God
if I could play God
if I could play God
if I could play God
I'd swim through your blood,
and kill the cancer in you
my brother
