gooooo

I'll put this album up against any Nevermore record.

It's stripped down and simplified, which is great because it really gives Warrel a chance to breathe vocally and dive into some really memorable melodies.

I'll be picking this one up. I even told a couple friends about it who are now interested.

Doesn't anyone agree with me about how amazing Your Chosen Misery is? I kept telling Will wait till you get to it it's great especially the end! "eh, it's ok.". Liverslapper, wait until you get to Your Chosen Misery it's so emotional! "this song is ok".

Most tend to prefer the perky songs. I'm withholding full opinion until I've spun it a few more times to get a good feel for it.

This album is nothing short of amazing. Immediate purchase when it's released. Or pre-order, if it's available.

I mean, I know the entire intent of this album is to showcase Warrel. It's his solo album. However, even bearing that in mind; dare I say that this music compliments his vocal style (and similarly, his vocal style compliments this style of music), more than Nevermore?

When We Pray, Lucretia, and Your Chosen Misery <3

Can someone verify these lyrics for me?

I'm the one you called a liar
I'm the lamb who slayed the lion
Crawled up on your cross again
Play the victim till the end
What you've gained is nothingness
What you've learned is useless

You play the martyr, crawl upon your cross again
Always the victim but it's all inside your head

Dark, all those that light your lovers
Your father's past the weakest cover

Perched upon your soiled throne
Cast your sticks, I'll throw stones
Envy and lust will drown you, just look around you

You play the martyr, crawl upon your cross again
Always the victim but it's all inside your head

Remembering days we felt we were chosen
Those were the days, when the hunger was all that we had
Can't take back the past, can't peel the wounds
No one can rescue your faded ideals
All that remains, are stars of a wasted youth

You play the martyr, crawl upon your cross again
Always the victim but it's all inside your head
When will you ever learn to trust another, my friend?
Just play the martyr till the world spins to it's end

The two bolded parts are the only two that I couldn't really figure out.

I think the first line could also be "I'm the one you called the liar", but it could absolutely be an "a", too.
Also, in the first verse, I think it's "Crawl upon your cross again", doesn't sound like past to me. But again, I'm not sure.

But I'm pretty positive about "All that remains, are scars of a wasted youth". Would make more sense IMO.

Good work!
