new to symphony X

I am a fan of almost all genres of metal. Dream theater and Blind guardian is what pushed me into checking out symphony X. I picked up the double live cd and it is awesome. I just ordered the Odyssey(spelling) from the end records.

Hey man, 'The Odyssey' will NOT disappoint you.

After you fall in love with that, get 'Twilight In Olympus' and 'The Divine Wings Of Tragedy.' They both kick butt.

If my mind doesn't betray me, you're from the Testament board. Knowing that you like the heavier stuff I would recommend you The Divine Wings Of Tragedy.

Heavier prog/power metal can definitely be found on the 3 albums I wrote of earlier. 'V' is much, much more progressive and my personal least favorite. It's still good, but definitely the one that took me the longest time to get into.

yes, I am a frequent person to the vehemence board(being that I am friends with a few of them) and testament but I like all styles of metal to a certain extent.
