Took some advice from 006 and played around last night

New XXX sound clip

Ok maybe the mids on the XXX don't react the same as I thought with the knob. If there is a way to combine your original clip's tone, with the new one, I'm sure it would rock. As it is now, it seems to have too much mids...maybe try using the eq in your recording program to notch some of the mids out around 6-800. I'm listening on laptop speakers so it's hard to tell for sure. You have a new sound, so now just mess with it till it makes you sick in the program. Try EVERYTHING.
