Y'know what? I'M afraid of some of the cheesiness of some of these titles. And I listen to bands like Rhapsody and Dream Evil.

hmmmmmm i wonder where his influence for the name fuegetta came from, sounds like somthing Bach did (snicker).
those titles dont sound as cheesy as rhapsody i mean come on locked and loaded sounds like a pretty manly title to me. sounds nothing like vally of the unicorns or anything like that.

The only one I dislike is Bogeyman, because it's shit.

I don't get why that's funny - Bach isn't the only composer to ever have written a fuguetta, and as fuguettas originated in classical music and Yngwie's trademark style is neo-classical there's nothing odd about him writing one.

Perhaps you mean Forest of Unicorns or the Last Winged Unicorn, and there's nothing unmanly about them.

Some of the titles are indeed sweet. Locked and Loaded, Magic and Mayhem, The Hunt, etc... just badass metal titles.

And my God, here we go with "Rhapsody used the word unicorn TWICE in six albums. Let's make fun of them" bullshit.

You asked for it when you brought them up in comparison to Yngwie.

The thing with him is that he knows it's cheesey, and he doesn't care. It's just fun for him, and it's what he's done for 20 years now. I remember an interview with him awhile ago where he was laughing at himself because he's a rich, middle-aged guy writing about dragons. Plus, it's pretty obvious where the album name came from. Yngwie's lyrics and song titles are the last thing he worries about....

"I am a viking...you are a loser...ect ect"
"Forever is a long long time"
"There's a whole in the sky and don't ask me why 'cause I don't know"

I don't see how those new titles can be surprising to you at all. His songs have always had horrible lyrics and cheesey names. Now could you pass the buttered unicorns? I'm starving...

I am a Viking.... he was just asking for it when he wrote that one. Wow. Sometimes I really wonder what he's thinking. Maybe metalheads just have a different mindset from the rest of the world - it would explain a lot.

But it's a pretty sweet song if you ignore the lyrics.

I Am A Viking rules, puts me in my mind of a game I used to play a few years ago called Rune.

My favourite silly Yngwie lyric is from Hangar 18, Area 51: "There will be violence."

I Am A Viking is a very motivating song. I remember playing it before I got my wisdom teeth yanked, it pumped me up.

That reminds me of one of my favorite Woody Allen quotes...

"I can't listen to that much Wagner. I start getting the urge to conquer Poland. "

:tickled: :tickled:

The Seventh Sign is just fucking incredible. I have a friend who digs shred and is starting to get into Yngwie, so I let him borrow the Live DVD from 2000 (I think). His comments were: "The instrumental stuff's sweet, but I don't like his songs with vocals. Except The Seventh Sign, it rules." If that song doesn't prove that Yngwie is indeed a good songwriter, I don't know what does.

your concern is noted it was a poor atempt of humor on my part
