Newest machine (of lamb of god et al mix fame) production

triggered drums are triggered. on the older songs anyway
;-)
sounds good though.
really like it actually.
wait think iw as listening to the wrong song.
but really like em anyway.
assuming Machine's is the newest one.
this band are ace.

I can't really claim any responsibility for the final product at all, that's all machine and his gun engineers. I think this album will really take them to the world scale. I'm just happy to have been involved with the band as a touring guitarist and a mate who helped out with the pre-pre production (machine does his own preproduction with bands on top of what we did). Can't wait to give the record a spin when ir touches down in it's new and improved format in the next few days. I think the release is due for June and has a strong chance of hitting the top of the charts. I think the last album went to number 1 on the air charts here.

love the mix
love the song except the clean vocals ....dont sound bad but...just out of place (like crosstalk said)

I really dig Machine's work actually. His mixes are always really vibey, shame they're all so smushed, but hey.
Digging this mix a lot.

Yeh it's a massive change to the vocals that were done on the prepro. They sound heavily processed. I can't quite put my finger on what's been done to em though.

I might be way off base here (or might even get shackled for saying so) .... but this dude has a Midas-type-Touch.
I don't know why - but I really dig productions that have the Machine stamp.
Mind you - I'm not talking about Bob Rock type Midas touch.
But midas touch as in - it definitely has the potential to sell some records, and maybe win some award somewhere, etc.
As Mr Ermz said: "marketable"
(very well put, by the way!)
But I dig the tune. Just my 2¢.
Thanks for linking us to it Amarashism.

Well I just listened to it twice in a row, production sounds good to me, although I can defiantly hear what you mean when you say the vocals are really processed. I think it all fits though. The song itself is pretty cool, its god a bit of a heavy alexisonfire vibe to it. Very marketable sound as ermz said.

The vocals sound ridiculously processed

More like ridiculously good! I'd buy it right now if I could. Bump this thread when it gets released.

I can hear the typical myspace artifacts chewing on the guitar and cymbals, but even myspace can't ruin this band. I can't wait to hear the full rez version.

Thanks for posting.:kickass:

The snare seems to be getting pretty eaten, but that's pretty much my only production complaint... Probably wasn't Machine's doing though! Who mastered it?

this sounds amazing... i love how processed the aggressive vox sound... they're not so much 'processed' as they are slightly distorted. sounds like Decapitator =D

Machine is amazing... fuckkkk

is that mark hoppus (or whats his name again) singing? haha.

yeah, seems like the screaming vox have a lot of distortion on them. i like that. i also loved the opening glitch effect on his voice.
not really stuff i would listen to personally, but overall production is perfect.
