Fact is , peter owes us nothing. We can curse all we want, we can scream all we want , we can beg all we want. Still that makes no difference what-so-ever. Point being that Peter can do what he wants when he wants with Hypocrisy , same goes for Pain as a matter of fact.

But in all fairness , i think you are all forgetting that there could be more connected to this then meets the eye. Are you all forgetting the scumbagging of record labels? What if Peter is being "forced" to keep on touring with Pain. What if Peter is being "forced" to stall the new release of Hypocrisy.

Don't get me wrong i'm pissed off about all this as well. But there is nothing that we can change about it.

And 1 more thing , stop bugging dennis. The man is kind enough to give us a "behind the scene" update every now and then. He's bound to rules as well, rules set by the man in suits that only care about the $$ signs.

The people that owe the other half of the contract.... In all fairness there could be a flipside to it as well. That peter is bored and done with Pain, this would seem somewhat logical in the following math.

Touring like there is no tommorow , check.
Recording 2 albums within the timeframe of about a year, check.
All part of a record deal connected to Pain? Possible.


Like i said , there could be more behind all this then we think at first glimpse. Think beyond what you read and what you know, analyze , realise , confirm.

Sometimes I tend to think that Peter has control over everything, which is obviously not the case.

and besides, peter is not stupid, he is in the music industry a long time now, so this (if its really like this) is not a result of a mistake, made by him.

-With him as a music loving workaholic, no it's not. Still Cynic Paradise sounds rushed and not propperly thought through.

If he really wants to give Hypocrisy more time but is forced by the label to focus on Pain, dont you think he would say something about that or at least imply something along those lines in an interview? Peter doesnt really strike me as a shy guy.

I really doubt this is the case.
Hypocrisy is soon facing the 20 year mark, somehow I can understand if he takes it a bit easy. We just have to face the music, he preffers Pain nowdays.

It still sux though, 'cause Pain... sux.

Yes it should be but these recent happenings have made me to think that there's gonna be less and less Hypocrisy tours in the future and longer gaps between albums. Mayne next album will be last Hypocrisy album and then Pain will take all his time. Maybe he isn't interested about death metal anymore. If it's so then better quit the band it than stain it's legacy by making several Catch-22s.

And you ppl should remember that rushing into things won't result a good album either though this waiting is kinda pain in the ass. And Peter writes the music also for himself and not solely for fans (at least that's how it should be) and there isn't much point to make an average Hypocrisy record if your heart is elsewhere. And if the money is now the reason he is doing this then he is definitely going to make Pain his top priority. And maybe that's better than ruining Hypocrisy like for example In Flames ruined themselves. Of course I hope that Hypocrisy is gonna release many great albums in the future but that scenario happening seems bit bleak now.

Even the mightiest could fall but lets hope that's not the case. And we should remember that we aren't ones telling him what he should do. If he isn't into Hypocrisy anymore then there's nothing we can do about it. We can hate him and curse him but that's not gonna change anything. Hypocrisy's fanbase is more enthusiastic but smaller than Pain's fanbase which is bigger but probably also less enthusiastic. Pain's the moneymaker so it probably has become more interesting project albeit it's then gonna become a soulless device of commercialism. But as I said even the mightiest could fall.

Lets hope for the best though.

as for the update...the enthousiasm in it is refreshing :

"As you know Peter has been busy touring with PAIN during the first half of this year. But in between the tours, vocals [for the new HYPOCRISY album] have been recorded. Three songs are finished with vocals so far. Ten more to go until the final mixing will begin.

The plan was to be finished with the album in the first quater of this year and to release it in the summer. But we're very sorry to let you know that it's not gonna happen. During the recording process we realized that we would't make it in time. We don't want to stress just to get it out, because this album is going to be the best we've ever done! We're going to make a new release plan with our record company and the album will be out later this year. The cover for the album is already decided but before we make it offical we would like to set the title for it. There are still some work to do but we'll let you know how it's going.

"We can't wait for it to be released and finally go on tour again!"



so...13 songs will be recorded, so we are prolly gonna have a 12 songs with maybe a special Japan release with an extra song just like watch out, thats good!
