Among the Horrors
Well the offseason has begun for most of the teams in the League, Black Monday is upon us. Time for speculation about the future of our teams into the next year.

Shanahan firing: right move?

How do the Texans bounce back?

Does Jerrah leave things alone or will Kiffin be gone?

Are the Jaguars going to commit a mass suicide?

Shanahan is an idiot. He's been incompetent for a while now. Not all his fault though, Snyder is almost as bad for the Redskins as Jerry Jones is for the Cowboys. Texans were decimated by injuries, they need to get healthy and improve the QB position somehow. I'm not sold on any of the QBs coming out of the draft so I'm not sure what they should do.

Schwartz is out now as well.

Dallas has been destroyed by injuries 2 years running now, particularly on defense. Stephen Jones has stated the front 7 is the #1 priority this offseason. The Offensive Line is finally playing pretty good after being horrible for years. The secondary is hard to judge given the general lack of a pass rush this season. Next year is not going to be easy good god:

In addition to their NFC East foes, the Cowboys will play the Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers, Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts and New Orleans Saints at AT&T Stadium. The Cowboys will travel to play the St. Louis Rams, Seattle Seahawks, Tennessee Titans and Chicago Bears.

I predict next year we see the 3 running back set Wing T offense take the league by storm! peewee style muthabluckas!

I would actualy love to see the Carolina Panthers run this with Tolbert, Stewart and Williams. A little read option in there with Newton, PA to Olsen, skinny post to Smith; oh hot damn!

Speaking of the Panthers, if I were the GM I would make a trade for Alshon Jeffery. All they are really missing right now is a true #1 WR. Smith is simply too old.

Well I'm sure the Panthers aren't going to trade for Jefferys. Just saying they should. Anyways:

So Dallas promoted Marinelli to DC (a smart move), but have kept Kiffin around in some weird slash role for.....why? On the other side of the ball, Linehan is in essentially as OC (another upgrade I believe), and Callahan is demoted into another similar oline coach/? role, and reportedly isn't happy. Callahan and Kiffin are a drag at this point and need to exit Valley Ranch, but of course Jerry is loathe to do anything that makes sense. Supposedly he is taking a "long look in the mirror", but I'm skeptical of any significant change in organization.

Lets face it, Niners are right there with the Seahawks. Key players with low salaries (for now) on board. I see NFC SB wins the next 3-4 years. Obvious potential for the next great dynasty in hand, Seattle has the makings. The Pats should be there as usual, but Kraft and the Coach have been about getting to the AFC title which is fine, but they need to wake up and realize work to be done to catch up to the NFC. Getting to the AFC title not good enough...build it to win SB titles.

Eagles resign Jason Peters and Jason Kelce to long term deals. Love both moves. The Eagles will now have the same O-line for at least the next two years, four of whom have the potential or already are top 5 at their position.

They also extended Reily Cooper to a 5 year deal and Jeremy Maclin to a one year deal. Cooper's kinda just a guy, but he has good size, works well with Foles and plays in Kelly's system well so I'm cool with the deal. I like the Maclin deal. Let's see if he can stay healhty and produce in Kelly's system before giving him a long term deal. But I love the idea of having all three recievers on the field at once. This offense is set and has no real holes (except maybe depth at QB and OL). The rest of free agency and the draft should be focused on the defense.

What are you guys hoping for from your teams this offseason?

Well the Bucs were shitty and changed before, but the original unis were horrendous, and the Pewter and Blood look was great. A SB win also followed close on the heels of the uni switch. But changing something solid just for the hell of change is stupid. Look at the Dolphins helmet change.

Glad to see Dallas release Ware since he won't take a pay cut. He could still play at an elite level but the odds are against him earning whatever he wants to be paid.
