NFL!!!

You have a hard time facing the obviously glaring fact that Romo is nowhere near elite and that if he wasn't in Dallas he'd probably be a backup. And that's fine I mean you can talk to a brick wall for days and in the end it's still a brick wall and I'm tired of talking to the wall, you'll be disillusioned till they cut him...... And even though I have said this before it needs repeating that though he is far from the most talented QB in the league he is definitely one of the more classy players as far as no excuses, pissing or moaning dude is a perfect picture of sportsmanship.

I used to love Brooking in Atlanta but man what a fag!!! "You scored on us, WHAAAA." Pathetic!!! He should consider himself lucky he was in retreat when Jared Allen was going his way... I have no respect for that, as tacky as throwing the last TD was.

Tman, tell me how you really feel...lol.

Don't know if TR is "elite" or not. His propensity to turnovers at the worst possible times is very troublling. But he had a good year (statistically speaking). Obviously your hatred of him is somewhat unfounded IMO. He basically is on pace to take every statistical Cowboys QB category, but he will alwyas be judged by the playoffs and his performance there. We will see if he can get better next year. We will see. As a fan I will remain optimistic. But I really can't believe that he should be a second stringer. But we all have our opinions.

Brookings was pissed, and I like that he brings that to the game. A little weenie what he did, but he has heart. I suppose if Dallas was up by that amount and they went for it, I would be all for it. It shows killer instinct (Something dreadfully lacking from this current Dallas squad).

Coaches, players and the owner have a lot of questions to answer in the offseason.

Hey are the Patriots interested in a wide reciever? We have one that is best described as "the invisible man". I hear they will trade him for a 1st and a 3rd draft pick.....

The Patriots problems won't be solved by Roy Williams or any other single player..While the young Jets are getting better the elderly Pats are getting worse. N.E. is in SERIOUS need of a youth injection into the team.. Brady isn't getting any younger and he won't be getting any better (I believe he's been regressing ever since the Giants Super Bowl) so eventually you will see the Raiders with a better record than the Pats it's just the natural order of things...I mean hell, the Cowboys with their less than average QB went farther than N.E. did this year and there's a strong possibility it will happen again next year.

You seem so intent on defending a bad QB that you don't see the forest through the trees... Romo doesn't have to be elite or great for Dallas to be successful they just need to build a balanced team..I mean hell Trent Dilfer won a SB....TRENT FUCKING DILFER?!?!?!? And look at what Mark Sanchez is doing.. He's just a rookie and he's not better then Romo at this stage in his career...BUT he's smart enough to not lose the game and lets his power running game and great defense carry him.... Romo's Cowboys aren't that far off a few quality skill players on both sides of the ball and they can be doing the same thing.. It's just too bad that Jerry Jones is such a retarded asshole cause in case you haven't figured it out by now if Bill Parcells had never left Dallas you would probably have a Super Bowl by now... But I digress, anyway a decent off season using the draft and free agency will get the Cowboys one step closer to that goal.

Obviously your hatred of him is somewhat unfounded IMO.
And I'm getting tired of saying that I don't hate the guy!!! I don't know him, but what I do know is he can't win the big game!!
So why not either get a QB who can?? Or build a team in the mold of the Jets and go that route? Hell they have the RB's and a good start on the "D" to pull it off.

And there's no justifying Brooking's crybaby act.... It was weak!!

Whoa...... why all the hate?
Thraxx, how the hell you been? Other than harrassing Vomit you haven't said a whole lot. What's the story on Tom Cable? Looks like he's keeping his job till they figure out if there's a lockout or not.

If my memory is correct you're tight with Testament aren't you? I have tickets for 2-14-10 in Lowell, Ma. Do me a favor and pass this along to Chuck. Alot of us would be happy with a Testament/Megadeth bill so while Araya is healing they should do the dates... Just a thought.

Anyway bro I hope all is well with you...Stay cool:kickass:

Whoa...... why all the hate.....I hope the Vikings abnd the Colts go to the Superbowl and Farve wins!
No hate man. Just some angst at a decent season down the tubes. Oh well. Good luck to your team next year. I still hope NO wins it all. Although with the way the Jets play "D" it should make for a good game.

Keep it real.:kickass:

+1!!!!
Here's hoping that Drew Brees can stay vertical long enough to make use of his quick release!!

Saints v. Jets in the Super Bowl w/ the Saints winning in a blowout!!!

Back at ya. I am glad I am not the only one who despises that 40 year old crybaby. Man, oh man, I used to dislike him just because he played for the Pack. But ever since the whole retire/not retire, "why didn't we get Moss??", me, me, me, Don't pull me out---I'm setting records, I loathe him.

Oh well. Go NO!!

On to 2010.

Mr. Thraxx, not too sure if you're happy about this.....

So I'll break it down in to two seperate comments..

If so GRATS!! There must be something either about him or the unstable situtation facing the NFL next year, but grats.. If you season ticket holders like him that's all that matters...

My condolences bro... Seems to me that Al Davis is really dead and there's some type of "Weekend at Bernie's" shit going on in Oakland and you season ticket holders deserve better!!
Hey T-Man glad you're back Bro, I hope all is ok with you, ohh and Happy New Year too!
Right back at you Flav dude!! I hope everything non football related with you is going good. Cause lets face it, there's problems in Charger land.... Did they really give suck ass Norv Turner a contract extension?? Mr we got a 7 point lead at the half we'll be good. WOW is all I can say! But again bro, I hope lifes treating you well :)

Predictions for the championship games...

Jets - In a nail biter despite all of my diehard Pats friends giving me shit for picking N.Y.

Saints - The clock is about to toll midnight on Cinderella Favre and as strong as the "D" line for Minn is make no mistake Brees is not Romo, and even though it's a dome...It's the Saints dome... Saints win

TMan....

Just couldn't help getting a dig in at Romo could you:rolleyes:??? LOL. I was so glad to see the Saints whip Favre around. So glad. Let's hope the primadonna retires for good and the next time the media mentions him is in 5 years when he goes in the hall.

Question for you. Do you think TR improved his game this year? And do you think he is capable of winning 2 playoff games and getting to the SB next year. I know you are not high on him, but sometimes I wonder if it's just because you dislike the media attention, "America's Team" stuff? I know you don't consider him elite, but, I wonder what your standard is? Stats? Unlikely. PO wins? Doubtful? Super Bowl wins?

Seems to me there is a lot of "elite" QB's who never won the "big one". i.e., Marino, Kelly. etc.

And some mediocre ones who have i.e., Dilfer, Doug Williams.

Tell me your thoughts, I am interested.

Oh, and go New Orleans. I like Brees.:headbang:

Dude, you are SO ultra defensive of Romo it's almost scary.. I hope you're not obsessed with him.. Reason I say this is I didn't take a swipe at Romo I just laid out the facts. I picked the Saints to win but after watching the game realized (As much as I hate to say it) the best team did not win in the NFC Championship game.

Minn was superior in damn near all phases of the game two things that would've won it for them was holding on to the damn ball!!! And being able to force Brees into making a mistake. He played a flawless game 3td's no picks against a monster defense... Romo 0 td's 1 pick looked at times like he had no clue as to what to do. So again, not digging, just stating fact one guy has got his team into the Super Bowl and the other FINALLY won a playoff game vs. a team that was vastly overrated, played a contender in the following week and got stomped.

Do I think Romo improved his game this year?!? No, he got his first playoff win against a soft opponent, any other team in the NFC playoffs this year would've beaten them....Sorry

And do I think he's capable of winning the Super Bowl? That actually depends more on Cowboy mgmt than on Romo, I mean he's been in this league for 7 years and he doesn't seem stupid or anything but they need to build a team that doesn't depend on him to win the game, He plays every game, like I said he seems intelligent....And If I am to be honest with you I think they should scrap Jason Garrett in favor of a proven O/C, get an actual GM and put this Owner/GM noise to bed....Then yes, if they gameplan to his strengths with the proper surrounding cast I believe the team could be a Super Bowl contender...

Like I said before, If uber retard Jerry Jones pulled his head out of his ass and kept Bill Parcells you probably would've already been to a SB by now.

Super Bowl Prediction - Colts blowout over the Saints (I seriously want to be wrong!! but the Saints "D" hasn't stopped much)

Fuck Romo! Tman, Cable hates Russell for i think its a good thing. Hue Jackson from The Ravens has been hired as offensive coach....

ALAMEDA, Calif. -- The Oakland Raiders hired Hue Jackson as offensive coordinator on Tuesday, hoping the man who helped develop Joe Flacco in Baltimore can do the same for JaMarcus Russell.

Jackson is the second assistant hired by the Raiders since the end of the season, joining defensive line coach Mike Waufle. Although owner Al Davis has not yet committed to bringing Tom Cable back as head coach in 2010, he has hired two assistants with ties to Cable.

Jackson and Cable worked together on the staff at Cal-State Fullerton in 1990 and at California in 1996. Waufle and Cable also worked together at Cal in the 1990s.

The Raiders have pointed out Cable's ties with the new coaches in their news releases announcing the hires. Cable is also at the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala., this week, and although a final decision on his status hasn't been announced, a source close to the situation told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter that Davis will retain Cable.

ESPN 1000, Chicago
Former Ravens quarterbacks coach Hue Jackson joined "The Waddle & Silvy Show" on ESPN 1000 to discuss becoming the Oakland Raiders' offensive coordinator and bypassing an interview with the Bears for the same position.

"We continue to evaluate the staff and make changes to get better achievement," senior executive John Herrera said Tuesday. "It's still an ongoing process."

Jackson is expected to take over the play-calling duties from Cable, who did not have an offensive coordinator in his first full season as coach. Cable also coached the offensive line and admitted after the season that he might have been overextended.

"I'm hired as the offensive coordinator, and I'll be the primary play-caller," Jackson told the Ravens' team Web site. "That's my role. It's a chance to go out and assist the head coach and be the best offense we can be."

Cable endorsed the move to bring Jackson on board.

"I think it's a good decision by the organization," Cable told National Football Post from the Senior Bowl. "It's someone that I'm familiar with. It's someone that I think can help us take the next step, so we're all pretty excited about it."

The Raiders had one of the worst offenses in the league during a 5-11 campaign last season. They were second-to-last in the league in scoring with 197 points and gained the second-fewest yards on the way to their record seventh straight season with at least 11 losses.

The team showed some improvement after Cable benched Russell midway through the season, scoring 5.8 more points and gaining more than 100 additional yards of offense per game in the final seven contests started by Bruce Gradkowski and Charlie Frye.

Russell completed 48.8 percent of his passes, with three touchdowns, 11 interceptions and a 50.0 passer rating that was the lowest in the league since 1998. But Davis still believes in Russell, saying during the season that people needed to have patience.

Jackson helped Flacco make it to the playoffs in his first two seasons in the NFL with the Ravens and also worked with Carson Palmer as the offensive coordinator at USC. Now he wants to develop Russell.

"This guy was the first player drafted. It's going to be fun to see if we can get him up and playing the way we all wish that he can perform," Jackson told ESPN 1000 in Chicago. "It's not just about JaMarcus. The quarterback takes on a whole life by itself but it's the team, the whole offensive unit [that] has to perform well around the quarterback."

Jackson spent time in California last week, meeting mostly with Davis but also with Cable. He was also mentioned as a possible candidate to be offensive coordinator for the Chicago Bears but chose the Raiders instead.

He told Ravens.com that the opportunity to work with Davis was part of the attraction in Oakland.

"What a man," Jackson said. "He's one of the guys in this profession that you would like to have an opportunity to sit down and talk with, let alone work for. My conversations with him led me there. Hopefully, things will work as planned, and I think we're capable of doing it."

Along with coaching quarterbacks, Jackson also has experience as a running backs and receivers coach in the NFL. He worked with a talented receiving corps in Cincinnati with Chad Ochocinco, T.J. Houshmandzadeh and Chris Henry.

The Raiders got almost no production out of their wideouts last season, getting only 99 catches from the entire unit. Darrius Heyward-Bey had a difficult rookie season marred by drops and a foot injury that sidelined him for the final five games. Heyward-Bey had only nine catches before the injury.

Jackson's career move now leaves the Ravens with an opening. Baltimore will have two primary options in hiring a quarterbacks coach, sources told Schefter. The first would be to promote offensive consultant Al Saunders, who has fared well in working with quarterbacks, and the other is to hire former Washington Redskins coach Jim Zorn.

At the very least, the Ravens will interview Zorn for the position before making their decision about which coach would be best to work closely with Flacco.

Fuck Romo! Tman.

Meh, I don't really want to ride him on Romo dude, I mean he definitely seems to think I have something against him, but in reality I just call it as I see it...I guess the lucky thing for me is that I'm not offense friendly at all... My favorite Pats were Harisson, Bruschi and currently Mayo.. The guy I enjoy watching on the Cowboys is Ware (And Brooking would've been up there too if not for his crying act) Favorite Raider is Kirk Morisson/Thomas Howard.

But just to overtstate the obvious again though, Romo can't win a game on his own.....He just can't, and there are several QB's past and present who can, and who have. So if that makes me a Romo hater in Vomits mind, so be it..
