Nightmare on Suck Street

they should stop this nonsense. they're just going to clog up the horror conventions with even more people that don't matter. who the fuck wants to meet the victims from the new movies, let alone every single goddamn person that ever played Jason and Michael? fuck that.

Yup they are remaking the cult rape revenge film from 79, strange because I was just talking to someone the other day about predicting that was gonna be the next remake. The original was great....

I'm reviewing Nightmare for bloodydisgusting.com, and it won't be a kind review...

This is all Rob Zombies fault. Now they're diggin' HARD to find any old horror movie to remake. And now they dug up Mother's Day... That's gonna suck so bad... The original was completely insane.

This is just bullshit. They will probably get barney fife to direct it

Funny part of this is I just sat down and watched this with my GF for the first time last week. She laughed her ass of the entire movie. Bad part is shes gonna want to see this remake :(

wow so shocking that a woman wants to see a remake of a rape revenge movie that features a pivotal scene where one of the rapists gets his penis cut off..haha...but on a serious note ..... wait ....ouch..

I didn't think it was honestly that bad. I don't think it was great either, but it is by far not the worst remake ever. Halloween was the worst ever....ever.

texas chainsaw massacre and dawn of the dead remakes both came out before halloween, probably more too that i cant think of

I didn't mind those, much, really. I haven't seen Halloween, either. :p It's just the slew of shit it's spawned.

Hey dudes, I'm really going to ressurect this topic... but hey, I've just entered here in UltimateMetal.

Stepping a little outside the gore/trash/classic genres, I've heard there is some producers planning the remake of The Orphanage (El Orfanato, 2007).

Dude.... '07?!

They are remaking it already??
It will be an american production. The original is from the spanish talented director Guillermo del Toro (same from Pan's Labirynth, Cronos, Devil's Backbone).
Actually, he's a very talented filmmaker. Have anyone watched the original movie? It's quite good. Nothing new, as a matter of fact, to the suspense genre but there's nothing in the direction that I would change. And guys, WTF? 2007!!

The remake's premiere is scheduled to 2011...

Getting back to the main subject... Are those Evil Dead 4 rumours still alive?

Check this out if you remember Bruce:

'07 original to a remake in '11? That's right on par with modern remake standards!

I think [Rec] to Quarantine was something like a year, Let the Right One In came out in '08 and Let Me In is supposed to be out this year. There's probably a list of others coming out in the next year or two of movies from around that time frame.

That makes me sad. I love The Orphanage, and to think that it's going to have a crappy American makeover tainting it's greatness...
