These people are school kids!! and to get into that frame of mind at such an age is indeed a sad thing..surely they should be encouraged to seek help if things get so bad,maybe there should be a class totally devoted to make people see that it's only temporary,there's always someone that can help you to see that there IS hope around the corner
 
Yeah, there should probably be more of a psychological/self-examinatory element to grade school. I have no idea how schools could pull that off successfully, though.
 
Probably the most important step schools could take is to really seek out the loners and anti-social kids, and make sure they get some kind of counseling, or incentives to socialise with other kids. Without any social contact, it's pretty easy for a kid to get into a "me against the world" mindset.

I actually went through a phase like that in high school, as I had very few friends back then. I got counseling during that period as well, and I think it helped. I doubt I would have ever hurt anyone else, but I do understand what it's like to feel like everyone's against you.
