The site hasn’t been working for me for the entirety of this week until now. Maybe that’s a good thing for me given everything recently, but it still sucks.
I made an acoustic compilation of a bunch of In Flames tracks (Digitally, I don’t actually know how to play guitar, and I don’t have the money to enlist people who do) earlier this week. I’m thinking of making a simple video with the album cover of each track as they play, timestamps/chapters, and credits to the people who made each tab, but I admittedly have never even downloaded video editing software, so I’ve been putting it off. The whole thing was inspired by September Dirge, but I used tracks from every album and original EP (Aside from the Trigger EP, I always forget that those tracks weren’t actually Reroute bonus tracks) and shuffled the order of everything. Also, I’m happy and proud to say that I’m the first person to actually transcribe the ending solo of Pure Light of Mind. It was hell to do so, I’m not 100% sure it’s right, I had to zoom in on the frets of a guy playing it, and I’m kinda just guessing he got it right. I also have a Mastodon compilation almost ready at 66 and a half minutes, which is a lot longer than this one, but I still need to make it sound more natural and fix mixing and whatnot on it.
Anyways, here’s the link to it. I still do need to adjust the mixing a little, Tilt is a little loud compared to the other tracks in particular, but it’s in a far more finished state than the Mastodon acoustic compilation.
Should add: 1. It was more of an exercise of making the acoustic guitar sound, making the notes sound natural, ordering which song where, and mixing it all than actually any compositional work, which I do want to be transparent about, 2. If there is anything at any point that sounds unnatural or bad, do let me know (Not Siren Charms being Siren Charms, I can’t fix that), and 3. I’m gonna wait a bit before posting the tracklist here since I want it to be a surprise for a bit
