Not bad at all!!!!

As another point of comparison, when the new Cake cd came out a few weeks ago, they had the #1 album on the Billboard charts with just 66,000 copies sold. Back in the day, that wouldn't have got a band in the top 100. I'm not sure if those numbers reflect download sales or if those are counted separately.
In any case, the record business is in some pretty dire straits.

It could've been higher too. I know a couple other forums I was glancing at where people didn't actually know it was out yet. I actually was in the same boat to. I knew it was coming out, just not that it had just been released in the states. Then again, I've mostly been offline the last couple of weeks or so.

According to Nielsen Soundscan (that doesn't really include EVERY copy sold, but it's a good tool of comparison - again, not 100% accurate):

Disturbed's Asylum - 179,000
Yngwie Malmsteen's Relentless - 1,600
Vader's Necropolis - 1,130
Sonata Arctica's Days of Grays - 2,000
Saxon's Into The Labyrinth - 1,000
Katatonia's Night is the New Day - 2,000

Where do you access these figures, if I may ask?
