Hahahaha, and you guys think MY tastes are pink!

Haven't really been all too "up-to-date" lately, so it's good to learn Alcest is releasing a new CD. The cover is pretty nice, it fits. Speaking of Alcest covers, the vinyl version of "Souvenirs..." has beautiful artwork.

Also looking forward to "Belus" and the new Tenhi.

"Alright" just doesn't cut it anymore. I'm finding myself with less time and more important things to do than drop dinards on run of the mill music. I'm now thoroughly vetting music before purchasing and limiting myself to a few scant purchases a month. Hence, I'll pass on the Orphaned Land based on these tepid comments alone. Ho Hum, my expectations weren't high after that ridiculous promo shoot.

Is it in officially released?

Heard most of the songs live back in June, but I was rip-roaring drunk. All I remember is that there were no guitars involved.

Blue Lambency Downward will hopefully be looked back on as a slight misstep...

Coyote is the upcoming fourth studio album by Kayo Dot, due on April 6th on Hydra Head. The album was written, according to frontman Toby Driver, as a single, narrative-driven, long-form composition written with story and text provided by a close, terminally-ill friend of the band, Yuko Sueta, in the final stage of her life. Coyote was once again engineered by Randall Dunn (Sunn 0))), Earth, Six Organs of Admittance) in Seattle, Washington, forging a new genre of "goth fusion" which combines elements of early Cure, Faith and the Muse, and Bauhaus with Herbie Hancock's psychedelic album, Sextant, and Scott Walker's recent album, The Drift. The lyrics and story were constructed with deliberate melodrama to pay homage as well to the intended gothic vibe, expressing the protagonist's loneliness and longing to be in a better place, and her journey through her own personal looking-glass through a hallucinatory world of fear and wonder.

It what.
