I hope this new deal will mean a success for the band. I can see more possibilities for them to record a DVD, as Anathema did, for instance. And If that happens, I really I hope it can be well produced and the setting may be in Italy or in a wellknown festival in Europe.
I love this band so much, that i really wish them all the success they desearve. :Spin:

I am hoping more for a videoclip man! Venezia would be the perfect ave to shot a movie-esque videoclip.... something along the lines of Orphaned Land - Ocean Land

As for DVD, I would like to see a studio report of their new album, a documentary - perhaps including a short interview with Dan Swano, brief dissection of their songs (lyrics and other interesting things behind them) and a big live show with decent quality with little-or-no mistakes!

Nice you brought an interesting topic which was never discussed :)

I'd like to get a good music video.. And with that I don't mean that typical MTV nu-metal crap, more like Leave me here by Cult of Luna (if you've seen that great video you know what I mean).
And a dvd of course would just be so great that I don't even want to think that it'll come in case I'll be disappointed like hell. :D

ahh, a Novembre vid, I would like to see lots of really classy artistic camera angels of like, nature and rainfall and boats and stuff. Really tastefull.

Wow!!! your ideas are fantastic fellas. Now I can figure it out this DVD. scenes of Venezia, boats, iterviews with Dan Swano... nice. I think Peacevill will promote this band as they have to. I don't mean being comercial, but it's time for videoclips!
Thanks for your feedback-

:worship: Peaceville :worship: I hope their A&R will be looking through this forum to see that there's a great fanbase of Novembre fans making a large bet on them and on Peaceville.

Great ideas..boat, lighthouse, sea, autumn/winter scenes, mist, rain, some gothic ornamented monasteries/buildings would all be awesome scenes for the imagery we get from Novembre songs, indeed. I would love to see this! oh, and some nurses, like the most awaited clip of Opeth haha :)

Never heard of celtas cortos, but the name is sugestive :)

I pretty much agree with you there, a short film with all the imagery of their sound would be awesome indeed! I just remembered one video clip which I also liked a lot from an italian band called Sadist, the clip was for the song 'Tribe'

Celtas Cortos is a spanish folk band, and in their dvd they included a short film of a wood carver boy and the musical atmosphere was provided by Celtas Cortos. hmm... Sadist video? let try to look for it so I can see it...

I don't know if you'll find it online, the band is disbanded, I guess? I saw it about 96 or 97 on Headbangers Ball with Vanessa Warwick \m/ I still have it on a VHS tape though :)

Wildhoney knew one of their members personally and she told me their drummer plays with Necrodeath, but I think sadist is no longer, unfortunately..

I am really curious about that Corcos Celtas video... :)

Yeah, I've been searching about Sadist. I have found that is a side project of Peso. But I haven't found any file yet. I don't know exactly into which genres are you now? So I don't know if you will like Celtas Cortos is they are a wide range of rhythms, but basically they are folk rock. if you are interested I can send you a copy of that DVD so you can see the documentary I am telling you about.

Well, I would love for sure, are you willing to put a DivX somewhere online or send me a copy of the DVD? if the latter, I can't pay for it right now because I am still stuck looking for a job and can't spend money on it, plus, sending a DVD from overseas would cost ton...probably more than buying it original here (if there's distribution) :)

Sadist were an amazing band, the leader of the italian scene... along with Novembre, of course. They arose from the ashes of Necrodeath in the late eighties and released 2 masterpieces of progressive and experimental death metal: "Above The Light" (1993) and "Tribe" (1996). They also toured Europe with Edge Of Sanity and Dew-Scented! Their shows were amazing... the leader of the band, Tommy Talamanca, was able to play guitar and keyboards at the same time! After the release of "Tribe" the line up of the band changed drastically and they began to play a sort of industrial metal... quite crappy stuff. They released 2 albums: "Crust" and "Lego". Now they have changed moniker, they are called The Famili and they play modern thrash metal in the vein of Fear Factory and Pantera... really boring music, imho. Anyway, in my opinion "Tribe", along with Novembre's "Arte Novecento", is the best italian metal record ever. Now they are a cult band... Sadist played the Wacken Open Air in 1998 (first italian band to play the fest) and I remember Jesper Stromblad from In Flames wearing an "Above The Light" shirt on stage during his performance at the 1999 edition of the same fest!! You have to check out the early Sadist stuff... incredible music. They didn't become so popular just because they were italian and they were on a very small label... like Novembre with Polyphemus...

Sorry for my shitty english but the moment I'm quite drunk...

Hail Sadist! :worship:

I've got Crust, Tribe and Above the light. Tribe is definitely a master piece, as much as is Arte Novecento AND Undressed Momento and I guess it ends there.

I heard they also toured with Carcass in '94 during Heartwork tour, or at least they opened for them.

I wish I could listen that Sadist - do they sound like Necrodeath? It's a shame they have split up. Hey Nostalgia, don't worry shipping costs in my country are not too expensive I can send you a pal dvd copy for free. better a copy of dvd than a rip off. I can send it to you from the $2 that the end records sent me back when I received the Dreams D'azur CD. Hahaha!!!

ahah! awesome man :) Will appreciate that for sure!

Well, sadist is like Progressive death, hard to describe, they sounded like Death (Chuck Schuldiner's band) but at the same time, they had some weirdness with keyboards, but the guitarrists were both awesome, they had a style of their own..

Nice you mentioned Sadist.
Sadist and Sinoath were my fave Italian bands... till I didn't listen to 'Wish...' by Novembre.
And yeah, Sadist toured with Carcass back in January 1994, I have the videotape of both performances, as well as the official live tape + clip of 'Sometimes they come back'.
In those days, I was very much into Sadist, as nowadays I'm into Novembre or Klimt 1918, and was in touch with Peso - now with Necrodeath and Raza de Odio, ya know.
Sadist didn't have a place where sleeping and so, together with my friends, we gave 'em hospitaliyt. PESO WAS HERE... Infact, I've still on my desk, a picture of Sadist with a dedication by Peso for this big favour and for all the support throught the years.

I was recalling what we spoke here months ago, so I was wondering... if anyone of you guys may have a bootleg video of Sadist or any video clip? Anything you may have will be gladly appreciated. :Spin:

Dear Stasera,
I've got their 'official' videotape of more than 10 years ago, including the clip of 'Sometimes they come back', as well as a live gig - and I also have the live gig of the show held with CarcasS here in Florence, but unfortuantely I have no chance to make you a copy...
I mean, I've got a dvd player and a vcr/vhs player, but I don't think I can copy something for you... I'd need a dvd recorder...

Unfortunately, I never got that videotape with the gig in Rome of a couple of years ago of Klimt 1918; I still hope to get it, but I'm not so confident...

P.S. When I met Paolo from K1918 last December, he told me that probably in April, when the new album of Novembre is released, they'll probably play a gig together so... let's all cross our fingers :headbang:
