Now building Load-boxes with variable line out.

I'm still waiting to buy one, as I don't have any extra money right now, unfortunately (income tax and few other things are butt fucking me hard this year).
Anyway, I'm pretty interested to hear your thoughts about the unit when you'll receive it !

Has anyone received their unit yet? (Or was I the only one placing an order?)

Your unit is completed. I still have to test it and it will be sent out either today or tomorrow, depending on how busy I am with other things.

No worries man, after Polifemo's is sent off I am no longer in business for the next couple months to develop new products and pick up more precision manufacturing equipment as well as stock up on said product to decrease wait times. However since you were interested before this, I will make one for you if you wish to buy before I come back. It should be soon however because I want my whole line ready for NAMM next year as well as be able to announce my first endorsed artists signature pedal.

As we speak both units are in the process of being sent out. I think I said to both of you shipping times are a little wack so I can't give accurate estimates as to when you receive it.

International shipping is always hard to estimate - those evil customs  - but it´s nice to know when the unit was sent out.

Last time I had some stuff shipped from California, it took 6 days. If the load box was shipped the 19:th, it´s 2 weeks now, and still no sign of the unit.
I´ve emailed you asking for a tracking number, but have received no reply, so I´m trying tis instead.

Going to record a lot next week, and it would be so nice to be able to try the load box out!

Ps. "prayfordarkness" have you received your unit yet? I guess that shipping is faster to Canada, compared to Europe DS.

Seems like I've been waiting in vain as I received an email today saying that the unit was shipped yesterday...

No loadbox for next weeks recording then :-(

I ordered one of these as well, but had to send it back for repairs.

Makes one wonder about the build quality...

Mine seems to be here (after a 2month wait) and I´ll pick it up later today, or tomorrow.
Let´s hope that my unit is OK!

Don't get too worked up, his unit needed repairs because I used to use a light gauge solid wire which was prone to break, he tried repairing it himself and set the thing on fire.

Since then I have moved to stranded wire and it works wonders.

Hi, I opened the load box today, poked around a bit*, and was able to make it work :)

As the circuit board isn´t attached, hanging freely inside the pedal, things obviously had been slightly "dislocated" during transit.

Everything seems to be OK now though.

* I´m pretty experienced when it comes to electronics, having modded and built both pedals and amps, so "poking around" inside a pedal without knowing what one is doing maybe isn´t a very good idea.

I didn't like having the boards floating inside with that much space and I have been looking around for parts so that is not the case. Most pedal companies let the boards float, but the box I put them in because of the load resistor there is a bit too much wiggle room. That is getting fixed because all the newer loadboxes will be directly soldered to the pots and switches, The jacks will then be solderless connectors via Mini Molex like EMG pickups are.

Well, the load box seems to be working perfectly, and it sounds great!

Since they seem to be used as a reference a lot around here, I just reamped Jeff's RoS DIs with my 6505 going into the Corvus box as a first test. Worked splendidly. Used Redwirez 1960-V30-SM57 impulses.

I'll try out some of my own recordings next...
