Just finished 11/22/63 by Stephen King. It was a pretty interesting story on the whole and surprisingly light on the super-natural for him.

I really enjoyed that one.

The Accidental Time Machine by Joe Haldeman was pretty entertaining, he's the author of The Forever War, which I also highly recommend to anyone who hasn't read it.

I enjoyed that, but that is pretty basic compared to this.

Have you read the Assassin trilogy first? Even though they're different stories in the same world, there's a pretty significant spoiler if you don't read the three trilogies in the same order.

I haven't. In fact, my first foray into Robin Hobb's world was Dragon Keeper and Dragon Haven, and the liveship Paragon makes an appearance. So I'd say those books have a significant spoiler, too. Fortunately for me, I can't remember much about Paragon from those novels, other than he's insane, but has a crew that knows how to work with him by the time Dragon Keeper occurs.

I really enjoyed both of the books in The Chronological Man series by Andrew Mayne. Very different take on a normal time travel novel and Mayne even manages to add in a detective novel slant to both books.

It makes the horrible pain of books 7,8, and 10 (if memory serves) entirely worth it. I couldn't be bothered to wait until april for it myself.

I meant to come back and post about it. A Memory of Light was very satisfying. Many loose ends tied up. Many emotional moments and many shocking moments. A fitting finish and as nailz says, it makes the pain of some of those middle books worth it.
