How is Cryptopsy not a wall of nothing? Their first albums have some of the worst production in the history of music, and are horribly composed and overly technical. Devourment have much catchier riffs and still remain technical. I guess slam isn't "trve" enough for you.

i'm not going to bother bringing out an argument on most of it since most of it is subjective, but if you really think their early albums have the "worst production in the history of music" you need to clean out your ears and relisten to them.
