Well dearest Ladies and Gentlemen,
I have news for u. First of all I had an exausting weekend, thanks for asking.
Now off with the news. There has been created some new scenes in the music industry. Those are the following:
UBL-metal
Air-Metal
Soft Metal
Pop Metal
Cyber Metal
Hyper Metal
Fuck Metal
Piss Metal
Shit Metal
Fuck, Piss and Shit Metal.
All the above forms of music, incorporate the traditional metal elements and they add to our music (the our part goes to the true metal heads) new fresh elements which make it heavier, shittier and more of everyhting.
Well the real news is, Metal-heads, that this is not metal. Just, because some fat-ass bastard of a company came up with that name, this doesn't mean that the NU shit is metal. It's not even fucking close to being metal. Might be heavy, brutal, mean or whatever, but it sure ain't metal! I don't judge the ones who listen to it, because I don't have the right to do that; and even i had it, I wouldn't. But my sense is that this music is for kids who like to play it heavy and mean. It is an alternative to the metal fans. You know what is really funny? That they call themselves metal and they say all the time that real metal sux, plus they don't have idea what metal really is.
Well I call this hypocricy (not the great death Band).
Oh! And something else. PoE has been very much traditional metalish in riffing, soloing, rythm section; it has also been very progressive in attitude.
And can't be Nevermore's fault that every new fucking band created nowadays steals elelments from them!
Bottom Line:
NU is not Metal.
RAP has nothing to do with metal.
Metal is not responsible for the evil in the world.
HEAVY METAL IS THE LAW mates!

The Bigger Picture -
Real metal blows the mainstream metal out of the water. The problem is , the rsally good metal doesn't get any air time. I have recently wandered into the world of Swedish(Nordic) metal, such as Opeth, Dimmu Borgir, Borknager, In Flames, Finntroll, etc. Now, to me, that is metal. Nevermore, Grip Inc, and many good American metal bands are out there, but they are hard to find.
The Smaller Picture-
Although I'm not keen on the nu-metal (or whatever you want to call it) scene, I do like songs from a lot of those bands. The songs get overplayed, so at times I get sick of them, but in actuality, I think some of the songs are OK from bands like Disturbed, Skrape, Nonpoint, Hed PE, etc.
