O/T: How's your country doing in the Olympics?

I watched a little of the Olympics. Did any of you see the wrestling finals yesterday? The guy from the US won the gold. But what's up with those guy's ears?!!! All of them had these big swollen ears, I don't know how they could even hear with them. You would think they would were some heard gear or something.

Cauliflower ear - the cartilage starts getting busted up from all the headlocks and grappling and grows around itself like scar tissue. Pretty nasty stuff, and it looks weird. I guess it's a badge of honor to some wrestlers...

Depends. My actual country like Tool said took a dive  . My birth country on the other hand won football (soccer for US) and basketball (so long dream team :muahaha: ).

US style basketball is no longer the dominating "theory"...The Europeans took the game of basketball and refined it into a better application, and the proof is the Olympics. Even if we had Kobe, Shaq and the absolute best players in the NBA on Team USA, I believe we still would not have fared much better because like I said, there's a new style of basketball out there, and it's OUR turn to adapt to keep up. I think it's great for the sport, and losing builds character and keeps you humble. Absolute domination will eventually make you lazy and complacent...

We came 4th in the medals which is pretty good for a country with such a small population compared to USA, China, Russia, Japan, UK etc.

Yeah they did a good job there! I think we always seem to get most of our medals in the pool, we are good at the swimming & diving events. We suck at the track & field haha.
