I didn't say it made sense. All I know is I keep hearing Cheney say, "If you guys had listened to us earlier when we wanted to drill at new sites off the east and west coast, then we wouldn't have had this issue of high gas prices."

No doubt in upcoming weeks "we wouldn't have had" is going to turn into "we can still prevent further price increases" and a few years down the road after Bushco has started new drill spots, it will morph into "well it should have lowered prices but our financial forecasts were off due to faulty market intellegence information."

Nuclear Power doesn't solve anything, it just creates a new kind of waste and is extremely dangerous to work with. There are so many other better fuel alternatives such as geothermal power. Why they don't use that is beyond me. Iceland uses this technology to a very large extent, and they even use the extra heat for other things such as heating up water.
