OCTOBER FALLS - d e m o n s AVAILABLE

This is certainly quite good, definitely Agalloch and Empyrium come to mind immediately. Nice work.

I love it. Seriously. I don't know why I haven't bought your previous releases. I will have to remedy that.

Well, the first 2 releases are all acoustics, so don't expect any metal there, altough the overall feeling is quite sad.

I'm currently finishing the lyrics and waiting the drummer (M.Auerkallio from Farmakon) to finish the drums and after that will start to record the album.

I downloaded this days ago and forgot about it until now.

Boy what was i missing, that was amazing! those two solos especially the end one came from an abyss brilliant stuff.

Although i did drift off for a minute and think i was listening to agalloch you can hear their influence immensly.

If this is just a demo can't to hear the real album, awesome work.

It's a great song, but my only complaint is that the opening metal riff (that is repeated in various parts throughout the song) is remarkably similar (I think even the same chord progression?) to the opening riff in "As Embers Dress the Sky". Still, it fits together perfectly and the other parts are GOLD.

I still must add, that there can't be any influences by Agalloch, as I've only heard the split with Nest. I should check the rest, but never have time...

Fuck that. Don't listen to Agalloch. Considering how many comparsions you've already had, not listening to Agalloch will be your only defense against accusations of being a derivative clone.

Well, I really don't care what people thinks and I believe, that when they hear the whole album, Agalloch will not be the first thing in their minds. There will be a lot of acoustics and all lyrics will be in Finnish. As I've "surprisingly" heard all the material, the main influenses lies somewhere near Ulver, Hades, Behemoth, even some old Carpathian Forest, so I'm not worrying about being called as a clone.

I have a huge pile of unlistened records here, but when those are done, I'll check some Agalloch as people seem to like them.

I didn't really assume you did. Based on that sample, however, I am assuming this will be a great album and I'm already hoping it'll get the recognition it will surely deserve, completely separate from any assumed influences. And I can already see it now, the legions of Agalloch fanboys never allowing this album to stand on it's own, never completely separated in their minds (and almost certainly reviews). Ah well, I guess it won't matter.

That makes sense, right? Sometimes I feel like I'm the most inarticulate motherfucker alive.
